Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

I agree, a lot of us are very understanding and know you girls put a lot of time and hard work into the decision process and we appreciate all you do for us. As for the person that had the remark you need to understand that we are all in the same position as you. We are anxious and eager to know what decisions are but you need to understand as well that hundreds of applications were submitted and there are only three people working on them. She already said if by October 15 nothing has updated then to contact her. No where on this thread did she state that decisions would be out by December. Just be a little more understanding with admissions and realize that we are all in the same position as you are. Acting this way is not going to magically speed up the process. We all have to wait the same amount of time. I am honestly really thankful to have found this site and I appreciate all the information on here not only from Nichole but from everyone who has took their time to post on here :) Good luck and blessings to you all !

Good afternoon,

If you have read through the board, I have repeatedly said if you do not hear from us by October 15, contact us. Decisions should be out by then, most likely before that date. I have also explained how decisions are sent out. To clarify, once all statuses are changed to show either accepted, or not, an email will be sent to EVERYONE within 24 hours. Statuses are all changed the same day.

There is no need to get smart and snappy with me. We (health science admissions) do not have to post updates on the board but I do because I know what it's like to be waiting for a decision to see if you have been accepted. It is a courtesy I extend to my students. So I take time out of my day to make sure to answer questions, or correct wrong information.

I have been open and honest about the process through the ENTIRE application period. If it is not appreciated, then I not post any more updates.

I definitely appreciate you responding!

Well I know for a fact that I am appreciative of the time Nichole puts into keeping us posted. That was not a nice thing to say NoApprovalNeeded. But anyway I'm just wondering how many seats are there for this semester because I know it changes? And what gpa were there most of? Just curious.

Normally there are between 240 and 300 seats available for the January term, spread out among the three campuses. I do not have a definitive number yet.

Only a matter of days until we all find out guys!! So exciting :woot:

do you guys mind sharing your gpa? So we can have an idea of how many points of each are there!

My gpa is 3.72 and I got 13 points

3.0 gpa got 6 points

Awesome! My gpa is the lowest this term I believe I have 3 points a 2.7

Hey I have a 3.0 w/ 6 points. Does anyone think the storm will delay our decisions?
