Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

This is my second time applying so I'm hoping and praying the ones with lower gpa get a chance this semester! :( I'm trying to stay hopeful

I know! Me too. It's even worst knowing that people have going in with less in previous semesters, I'm trying hard to stay positive tho :)

yes that's exactly what I was thinking, I've been stalking the 2014-2015 January pools and someone got in with a 2.6! I'm trying super hard to stay hopeful as well. Good luck to us!

Hey I have a 3.0 w/ 6 points. Does anyone think the storm will delay our decisions?

I hope not, but if we don't find out tomorrow evening than next week it is.. The schools are closed Thursday and Friday..

Dam Matthew!!! Lol. I'm just so anxious this is my first time applying I've been trying to get to this point for some years now and I finally did it. So nerve wrecking. I'm going to be Checking like crazy tomorrow. I really had a good feeling that we would find out by this Friday. Depending on how bad the storm is we might not get decisions next week so that sucks. I really hope they go out tomorrow.

3.4 and 10 points

Several years ago, I had an advisor at Broward tell me that I would never get accepted into their nursing program. Fast forward to several years later I think with 10 points I have a great chance of getting in. I say this to let you all know to never give up and don't let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do.

Hello guys,

I just find out from a friend about this forum for students that would like to find out about the admission process. I have been reading non stop since this morning. I saw alot of chatter about GPA and points which seems to be of great importance. I just checked my status a few minutes ago, my results are as follow GPA=3.7, POINTS=13 is that a good or bad thing? I realize admission is very competitive. If anyone can provide some clarity on my status, I would greatly appreciate. I really dont understand nothing about this process of selection. I welcome all comments, thanks!

wow everyone has great GPAs.... But there well deserved. Hope I get in! Just reminding everyone to be prepared for Matthew! Whether it's a category 1 or 5 ... just be prepared. Better safe than sorry

congrates...my friend got in august with 10 points so you definitely stand a chance.

If you have a 3.2 and up your almost guaranteed admission anything lower is to worry about I have a 3.0 but still hopeful

Good morning all:

I am posting this early so it is on the board....

Broward College has not yet made any announcements to be closed on Thursday and Friday, although I am sure they will come soon since the Broward County schools are closed due to the threat of Hurricane Matthew.

What this means for you?

Our goal was to have decisions out by Friday. That doesn't look like it will be happening. However, the delay should not be more than a few days passed Friday. Once all my team members are in the office, I will assess where they are in processing.

Please keep negative comments directed toward myself OR my team to yourself. Again, I did not have to post any type of update but as a courtesy I am taking the time to keep you guys updated early.

Stay safe!

Nichole
