Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

No, I'm just sharing the link from the other threads. I'm a January hopeful too :) hoping we find out on my birthday, sept. 30th!! That would be awesome hehe :yes:

I can tell you now decisions probably won't be out next week. Probably the week after at the earliest.

Oh man... ok so a belated bday present. It's all good. I know how busy you are Nichole. Actually, I don't really but I've stalked all the past threads so I have a pretty good idea lol.

It is not recommended to stop checking your email. If there is any issues with your application we will contact you via email.

If decisions are sent out, and you are invited, and don't respond, you will lose your seat.

BTW Nichole, I just wanted to say that although I really haven't been waiting that long, I've been stalking these threads for a long time. You really are the light at the end of the tunnel. I always get excited when I see your name and appreciate everything you do and post. I hope to meet you in person sometime. :)

I have to agree with you. Nichole you have been beyond helpful:). you really don't have to post here but it is comforting to see that you do. I have had irrational fears that my application was lost or that i would miss the email, but your post have reassured me. I know we all appreciate it.

I have a 3.0 GPA and passed the Hesi.... This program is very competitive and I hope I get in... Good luck to you all...

Hello everyone!

I have seen some comments regarding textbooks and and wanted to know if anyone knew the actual textbooks we are using for Process 1 and math for first semester? I can't seem to find it online and I wanted to shop around & start purchasing them 2-3 weeks from now after acceptance so I can be familiar with the books. I have 2 friends in the program at Broward but they are not sure if the editions are changing or the book.

I just want to know the latest required texts or how we can find out that information on Broward's website. Thank you all ;)

Hi All:

I feel like I need to post this again. I have been receiving many emails from students who say they saw on the blog xyz (whatever the issue is). I have tried to keep everyone updated. Please read my posts before sending emails.

Ok everyone:

Please stop worrying about the "order" in which applications are entered.

We do not enter them in alphabetical order. That doesn't make sense since we have three people working on applications.

We do not, necessarily, enter applications based on the order they are received. So please do not email us saying your friends application was entered and yours wasn't, but you turned them in on the same day.

Also keep in mind that your application status may change more than once while we are processing them. Not all applications will go into review right away.

If you do not see your application in the system around early October, then worry. For now, don't give yourselves more stress than life already throws at you.
