Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

I finished as well. I'm glad that I was fortunate enough to be able to retake this course because it definitely helped my GPA.

I'm excited for Application Deadlines because Admission Decisions are soon to follow. ;)

Hello Future Nurses, I took my Hesi exam today & passed it. I got high 80s for all the sections in the Hesi exam and my GPA is 3.3. I also turned in my application so just waiting on the deadline to see if I get in. Good Luck to you all.

Oh ok. Because I wasn't sure if we have to go back to health admission to get them updated or if Nichole does it once it's time to review applications again.

We will be updating everyone to the January pool before we make decisions. You do not need to come into the office to have them updated.

Yay! I also just finished retaking my bsc2085 at Keiser and got an A as a final grade! That will boost my GPA tremendously. I'm so excited for whats to come now :-)

Quick Question:

Does anyone know if they count ENC1101 or ENC1102 as part of the pre requisites which add up the points given during the application process for the nursing program?

I'm asking because I have a B in ENC1101 and an A in ENC1102. So of course it's at my best convenience for my higher grade to be counted.

I'm so anxious and nervous about January term. I only have a 3.0 and I don't feel like it's good enough. I wish I had the finances to pay for keiser to bring my grade up in English. Praying that I get in. Is January one of the terms that they get a lot of applicants. Does anybody know what the lowest gpa that was admitted this past January?

Stay positive and just wait patiently. 3.0 is a good Gpa. I've read in other forums that 3.0s get in. I think keiser is too expensive. I'm sure you could retake it as a transient student at MDC. You should find out.

I have a 3.0 too but don't go based on past terms because I applied for August and was an alternate and didn't get in and last August a 2.7 got in but like Nichole said every applicant pool is different lets just stay hopeful 3.0s get in this time !!
