Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Hey Guys!

Just stumbled across this thread. I will be applying for the January 2017 program in the next few weeks. My Pre-req GPA is a 4.0 and my hesi scores are all in the 80s and 90s. This program is actually my second choice to PBSC's program. I just missed the points cutoff for the fall program up here by 0.03 of a point. Talk about being bummed out. I live in West Palm Beach, so I would like to attend the north campus if possible. Good luck to everyone!

They don't require the current edition. I'm reusing her book too. Did you already do the orientation?

How's everyone application process going ? Anyone else applying to other places besides broward? Nichole said decisions are expected to be out by the end of September! really want to fast forward to then !

No I'm going on Wednesday before I go out of town! You did orientation already?

I'm going tomorrow, Wednesday as well. So ironic because I'm going on vacation on Friday lol. 🤗

Just the textbook or you mean the textbook & the lab book but not the access code? I didn't even get anything for the lab..I asked the dean and he told me I'm on my own I have to figure it out or ask my professor when class starts [emoji19]

Hi Brittany, are you taking the course online or on campus? I am trying to figure out if I really need to purchase book through Keiser or if I can rent the book and buy the lab manual from another site. Thanks!

That's what I'm trying to figure out I'm taking anatomy online at keiser as well I just have the textbook but I'm not sure what to do about the lab portion

Keiser is not helpful with that information. You can purchase the access code if they require you to have it. I found them online for approximately $100. Still unsure about lab portion though.

I was told many an advisor at BCC that the 4 credit class at Keiser counts as a class and lab. Therefore whatever you make in your online 4 credit class with Keiser than once you transfer your grades back they will award you credit for both. The Keiser online class is not the lab combined. It's only class online.

I am taking it online only from July 25 to end of August. I was told the book and the access code from my academic advisor. I heard nothing about the Lab book but I do have that. We will all find out tomorrow because I am going to email the professor through Blackboard. I haven't had access until today.
