Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
i've heard of that school being not so great.. chamberlain tho i don't think anyone has anything to worry about because they have all the accreditation any college or university has. i've made sure before i attend any school. yes its expensive but look at the pros, besides their Sim lab... AMAZING. i fell inlove lol
I attended that school for a year, withdrew right before I started my core classes. With all these private schools closing, I felt uneasy to continue going to school there. Aside from the fact it's ridiculously expensive, even if you have most, if not all pre reqs done. While I was still enrolled, the accreditation auditors were visiting the campus, asking staff and students questions. WCU would send out emails stating what to say and not to say to them. RED FLAG! I attended the clinical orientation, and they made it clear that more often than not, you wouldn't know your schedule for the following term a week to a couple days before the start date due to clinical rotation sites not being confirmed. Totally inconvenient. And last but not least, no class has taken the NCLEX yet for the Miami Campus since it's fairly new. Not knowing the average passing percentage was another reason I chose to leave.
The only reason I liked WCU was because I could finish the program in 2 years and in chamberlin it would take 2 years and 6 months plus chamberlin cost way more than WCU I'm applyIng to both regardless and broward ofcourse lets hope we all get into browards program to avoid all these private schools ! Lol
The deadline to apply for January 2017 is September 2016. I'm retaking Anatomy 1 and lab at Keiser as well. I start July 25. The class is $2400 and it is only one month long. I am taking it at the Pembroke Pines campus, the schedule is Monday - Thursday 8-1pm. 4 weeks. I got a B in all of the other pre- reqs so that should put my GPA above a 3.35
Do you think it's gonna be tough taking it in four weeks? I chose to do it online due to my work schedule so I'm kinda getting nervous especially bc I'm spending this money and I better get an A! [emoji58]

My coworker took the class at Keiser and she said it wasn't too hard. I'm definitely expecting an A as well. I'm not nervous about taking it, I'm more anxious to take and pass it and get it over.

Yeah I agree!! Do you know if they require the current edition book I haven't gotten an answer and I'm going out of town for a week so I kinda need to know before class starts since I will be away when it begins! Do you happen to know at all?

They don't require the current edition. I'm reusing her book too. Did you already do the orientation?
