Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

How are you going to do that?

I used to go there so I'm reentering

I'm still considered a student so it's covered under it

I used to go there too and I still have to pay out of pocket since I'm only taking one class so I would talk to an advisor at Keiser if I were you... Financial aid will only cover you if you take 4 classes and are degree seeking

Hello Everyone

I applied for the Fall 2016 term and didn't make it in. I was awarded 4 points, my GPA was 2.86 in the 5 classes required. I have two good friends in Broward's program now who are loving it! One is over half way done, the other is 2 semesters in.

Anyways on a better note, I am as well retaking a class at Keiser to boost my GPA. The class at Keiser is only 1 month long. I chose to retake Anatomy 1.. I got a C in it years back while taking 5 classes at a time. Just so everyone knows it is $2400 include registration fee & application fee for one class. You cannot get financial aid unless you are degree seeking student there for their full time August-Dec classes. Their 1 month classes are ONLY for non degree seeking students and do not offer financial aid, but they accept Florida Prepaid. I never realized the C would have affected me thus far. I am excited for Sept 15 once they start reviewing Spring 2017 Applications!!!

Good luck to everyone :)

I'm in the same exact boat as you! I'm trying to retake my anatomy 1 to boost my GPA !

Do you know if acceptances for January are after October ?

The deadline to apply for January 2017 is September 2016. I'm retaking Anatomy 1 and lab at Keiser as well. I start July 25. The class is $2400 and it is only one month long. I am taking it at the Pembroke Pines campus, the schedule is Monday - Thursday 8-1pm. 4 weeks. I got a B in all of the other pre- reqs so that should put my GPA above a 3.35

So we would find out if we're in by the end of October ?! I have a 3.0 idk if I should retake any class :/

The acceptances are going to be in October.

They start reviewing our applications September 15th it says on Broward's website.

Where do you see it says that on the website?

It says is on the requirements page for nursing that last day to apply for spring is September 15 so hopefully it's like all the other terms and decisions go out like October 15 in guessing right ?!
