Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Keiser is not helpful with that information. You can purchase the access code if they require you to have it. I found them online for approximately $100. Still unsure about lab portion though.

Where did you find the access code for $100? I could only find for $125 please post the link here. This is what I found.

Hi all I found this thread and I was an alternate for the fall program for broward. Had a 3.0 gpa for the pre reqs that were used for selecting students. 80's and 90's for the sections on the HESI. So now my application has been rolled over for consideration for the spring term. So now let's see.

We're on the same boat I have been rolled over with a 3.0 and same Hesi scores as you upper 80s and 90 I also want To apply to other schools just in case thinking about applying to novas nursing program does anyone know the process for that? Do u have to apply to the school and then the nursing program or how does it work ?

Hi melissah416, yeah I have a friend of mine that's gonna apply for their fall program for fall 2017...he's missing statistics so he's taking it this fall its a pre req for their nursing program..there is an interview and a test to take before getting in, they require a 3.0 cummulative gpa and 2.75 gpa in sciences..you can go online to see if you have all their pre reqs they ask for or call..the deadline for the winter program aka spring is November 1st..I would imagine you would have to apply to the school and then the nursing program that's how I had to do it for broward since I wasn't a student at broward till I applied to their nursing program..I'm gonna post now the screenshot my friend sent me of the requirements that are needed..bare with me im new to this lol

Hello!! Thank you so much for that information I was able to see the list I am going to apply to nova within the upcoming 2 weeks! I'm still hopeful for broward I hope the 3.0s make the cut this term! By the end of September we should know super nervous ! Lol

No problem! Yeah I'm hopeful too..let's see hopefully the pool of applicants for spring allows us to make the cut..I've read on other threads that lower gpa's than 3.0 have been admitted..and spring term is usually known for less applicants..glad I could help with getting info for nova

I'm very concerned. I'm applying for January. My GPA is 2.7 but I have a 90% on the HESI. From reading what everyone said it's based entirely on the GPA.

It really is I applied for August with a 3.0 and didn't get accepted hope this term is different

Yes they do their first selection based on your gpa from:

Enc 1101

Mac 1105

Anatomy &Physiology I Lecture

Anatomy & Physiology I Lab

Anatomy & Physiology II Lecture

Anatomy & Physiology II Lab

now every term is different depending on the applicant pool ..depending on how many ppl apply and their gpa's 4.0's automatically in and then it filters down..I've seen on last years thread some ppl getting in with 2.7 so there is hope..again it's all about how many people apply and what their gpa is from those 6 classes

So just to get an idea of how the January 2017 pool is looking like what are your gpas? Mine is a 3.0 :/
