Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
Hi everyone, not sure if someone already asked/answered this questions but...do all 3 hepatitis shots need to be completed before clinicals start? Doesn't the full process take about 6 months?
I asked my physician. She said they cannot be administered all at the same time. She said the school will understand.
Hey did you guys find the Pharmacology Bundle pack with the mynursing lab? The book store only have the book. Also what edition did you guys bought for Pocket Companion for physical examination?
I purchased the Pharmacology book already without my nursing lab. I didn't know it was required/existed.😦 Hopefully the professors will verify the recommended books, codes and other supplies.
the hepatitis shots will be explained on the packet of the second orientation. If you checked the one that says you have gotten all of them already, you will have to provide with titers to prove immunity. If you pick the one I believe that says that you haven't gotten them, but are in the process of getting the first one, like if you know when you're gonna get it....write the date and come back with proof that you got it.
BASICALLY, it is voluntary, you are not required to get them but why would you not? You will be exposed to blood so yeah.
So, if you have had them when you were little like myself, and the you're still immune to it, meaning you're not borderline, provide them with the documents of the titers along with the other titers, and if you are going to get them, check the option that says you haven't gotten them, and then return with the documents to update the portfolio in their nursing office.
This is what was told to us during our orientation at NORTH.
