  1. Hi, anyone who is interested in buying books for process 1 & 2 please send me an email. I have all the books in excellent condition. If your interested email me at [email protected] or through this website. Thanks
  2. If your status still says "in review" you may have ended up submitting your application too late and they have filled the seats. You most likely will get bumped to next term. You can call and find out if they have already filled all the seats or if they are still reviewing. I doubt they are there this week since it's spring break. Good luck!
  3. Hi! No that's not too late. They don't start sending out acceptance letters till mid/late March so u should be ok.
  4. Lol I don't know why that posted twice! Guess it was worth repeating
  5. Thx for your encouragement ah913. I plan to knock it out of the park this time! and everyone listen to ah about the portfolio like I said every campus is different. After I handed in my stuff I went home and got a binder and organized all my stuff and took it with me first day of clinical just to be safe. So be prepared!!!!! Don't worry about GIGU ah I'm sure you'll do great remember to stick with the study technique that works for you! and Jutana I know your nervous we were all there not to long ago just remember to always go prepared to class, i always got my bookbag ready the night before and double checked the syllabus and d2l to make sure I took everything I was supposed to take. For d2l look at the announcement part for each class NOT just the emails. The professors post stuff everywhere to make sure you're paying attention!

  7. Thanks Acitrone2011 for all your positive thoughts and encouragement!!!! You need to stay positive for this program. Don't let things get you too down and plz stay far far away from the negative people!!!! I honestly felt so down when I failed that first exam I let it consume me which was a bit mistake. You gotta learn to bounce back from those type of things and keep pushing forward. There's nothing you can't overcome as long as you put your all into it!!!
  8. Well I found that making flashcards for pharmacology helped me with the exams also our professor gave us a "blueprint" which was an outline of some of the material that was gonna be on the test. I found that when i made flashcards and did the blueprint I did better. I made flashcards for clinicals of the skills. Then would review them and found that helped me alot during return demos. (I passed both on the first try) However I found the flashcards didn't help me with lecture. I ended up making my own version of a blueprint based on my lecture notes, the power points and comparing the info to the book. That's what I did for my last 2 exams, which technically I passed but because I didn't do well on the first exam I still ended up not passing the course by one point it sucks but hey it's done. I'm gonna keep making my blueprints for studying cause it worked for me and helped me focus more because like someone on here said earlier the book is very repetitive and you feel overwhelmed trying to read it all. Also I highly recommend getting fundamentals success book which is filled with questions to help you in answering critical thinking questions. I have one but did not utilize it as much in process 2 as I did in process 1 which ended up hurting me. So lesson learned. Stick with what works for you. It may take a few different techniques to try before you find one that works but once you find it stick to it!!!! well good luck everyone! If u have any other questions feel free to ask! :)
  9. Hey Acitrone2011!!!! How are ya! Well everything's going ok. I just got back from a small getaway to the Bahamas! (Needed that after this grueling summer) unfortunantley I am retracking process 2 lecture . But really it's ok. It's my own fault cause I didn't study much for the first exam cause we had our return demos the next day. I was so nervous about that I neglected lecture then had to play catch up on the next 2 exams then missed it by 1 point so....lesson to everyone plz plz plz make sure u study hard and score well on the first couple exams so u don't have to play catch up!!! Congrats to all the others that have made it through to GIGU I'll be there soon!!!
  10. Hi Jutana. I don't know about the other campuses but at south they don't check it until the first day of clinicals for process 2. Not process 1 cause they already have all your stuff cause you just handed it in before the program
  11. Yes for south you have to buy it from the bookstore (which is the only place you can get it anyway) your not going to use it till process 2 HOWEVER they are going to check fo the receipt in process 1 so make a copy and take original cause they take the copy to put in your chart. It's full of all types of stuff. IV bags & lines and kits stuff like that. You'll be needing it to practice your skills at home for sure!!!
  12. Hey Acitrone!!!!! How are you? I just sent you an email ok. rene_Astorga I sent it to you too. Good luck ladies!!!
  13. Hi chrisieefaith. Everything is going good so far! Clinicals have been great! Been busy getting ready for finals. I sent you an email by the way. Hope it helps! Hi Gaby!!!
  14. Hey stephym12! Yeah you won't find a lot of south campus people on her unfortunately, but I like it. I can't really name any professors on here but the ones I've had so far in process 1 & 2 are nice. They are very different in ways of teaching but you get use to how they work. Don't be intimidated by other people saying "oh you got that professor, man good luck" That is a completely absurd thing to say. When it comes down to it they all have the same rules and treat everyone the same. They may push a little harder on some once in a while but unlike what other people comment about them "Weeding people out" that's bologna! I feel that they push us because they see potential and want people to step up and give it their all! SO all I can say is study, study, study! Know the material! Remember the Nurse is not just suppose to be able to complete a task but also needs to know WHY they are doing it!!!Knowledge!! Good luck in August! Maybe we'll see each other on campus!
  15. Hi iHeartKey so far for process 1 the 3 hospitals were memorial regional, south and memorial manor. Process 2 same except no manor and I believe memorial west is included. Basically they do all the memorial hospitals.
