Broward College Nursing May 2014

Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Hey guys just as a FYI they really do contact your employer listed for the back ground check. I had an interesting call from HR considering that they don't know yet about me leaving lol

Tell me about it. I quickly covered my butt and told them I was applying for a loan and they wanted to make sure I had a job ? my job is the type of place that is so bitter if people are trying to better themselves. So unfortunate I have to keep everything hush hush till the time comes

Sucks that u work for a company like that, but glad u wont have to for long! I would do cartwheels out the front door on my last day, lol

No not yet, the only thing Bc got was probably my drug test because I did it right after orientation, and my account now has a balance of $29

Oh okay, yeah I did mine right after too but I don't have the $29 fee yet

What hospitals do you all do your clinicals at for Central? How are the professors there? I keep hearing mixed information on Central.

The dates and times are true for orientation. I too am debating on which campus to apply to. Right now it's between North and Central, though. I have just heard too many bad things about South campus. North I've heard is the best for nursing, but central will have those new health science & nursing buildings up by next Fall so it's a toss up...

Fall 2014. Hmm I did my drug test the day after orientation too and still don't have the $29 fee either. & I'm still pre-admission. Hopefully that changes soon!
