Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?
I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.
Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)
Yeah we'll be getting an email first from each campus with all their registration codes and then we register for the classes and then should only receive the orientation date and the order in which our paper work should be turned in from the campus we registered for
When the emails go out, we will all get three emails (one from each campus). It will contain both the reference numbers for each campus and the orientation dates. A separate email with orientation dates will not be sent.
My status is now officially accepted. I took my drug screening on Wed and the lady said that the results should be at Broward college by today so that was pretty quick. I want to go to central or north campus I am still stuck in the middle of those two campuses and I cannot decide which campus I want to go too but I guess I am going to have to figure it out quickly. What campus does everyone else want to go to?
I find, for me, Dansko shoes are the most comfortable. I work 12 hr shifts now and if I have on anything other than Danskos, my heels feel like they are going to split in two! Compression socks help a lot too. I just got a pair of all white Danskos for $35 on Ebay. Should be arriving today
Anyone dedcided which campus they'll be registering for? Kinda leaning towards south because I think the clinical sites will be closer to home..
I was at the 1 pm pre-admissions meeting. At the end they asked who was considering which campus. It seemed like most hands were for North, then Central, then trailing very far behind, South. I know that there are horror stories about all the campuses, especially South, but I live and work near South and I believe that if you set your mind to be successful, you can do so anywhere. I know we will all make the right choices and be successful at whatever campus we go to @jamrn2b hope to see you at South

Oh okay because I spoke to the dean and she told me they would be sending out the paper I have with the dates which is separate

For the meeting, she only printed the orientation paper. But everything will be sent out again as one packet which will include the reference numbers. I spoke with the program office this morning.
