Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

You can only get one wrong. All white tennis shoes will do, I bought mine at footlocker just make sure that if there is a logo on it is small and white.

Central Campus students - the final is Friday as you all know. I have emailed about if we were going to receive some sort of email review. I guess we aren't, I have not heard anything. How is everyone studying for this cummulative exam? Wonder how it will be.

Uhg I'm dreading it ! I'm going over the models and boxes in the chapters. I made a list of which chapter I need most work on and which I know pretty well. I'm starting with the ones I know lease and rereading and then going over the ones I know very last . Remember, it's just a review. You already know the material . Just refresh

Hi everyone! I'm currently in the program at south campus! If anyone needs any tips or have any questions I'm here to help 😊

Hi everyone. I got accepted to start in May! I have been following the May thread, but am looking for someone in here who is currently in the program. Does anybody have a list of materials needed or can direct me where to find such list? Mainly required texts so that I can start my readings. I have downloaded the Potter Fundamentals already. Is there an online assignment portion to this book (i.e. do we need to purchase the book new) or can I purchase a used one from amazon? Thanks in advance.

For north campus there is no homework for lecture portion. Just your reading and studying. If you go to the evolve site where you registered for your hesi, you can register your fundamentals book for free material such as videos, quizzes and case studies. You can absolutely rent or buy used books. Read and understand as much material as you can before starting. This is the reading list for north:

Awesome! I just ordered the Perry&Potter, Fundamental Success, and Reviews and Rationales. This should be plenty to start, right? Im nervous to start in May because Ive heard its a little tougher to get through Process I&II so I want to be as prepared as possible!

It's extremely tough, I won't lie. However, I work 20 hours a week and spend every other waking moment studying and passed process 1 with a B and was only 2 points away from an A. It is possible to pass and it is possible to pass and do well! You have to truly understand the material, not just memorize it. The more you know ahead, the more you can focus on the stuff you don't know. Start with Heath assessment and vitals on that reading list since you will cover that in clinical as well. Don't be nervous! Dedicate yourself and you'll do great! I'm just about to start process 2 so I'm sure it gets tougher and I'm sure the upper class man have more advice, but at least you have a something to start with! I went in blind lol

Great advice. I'm also starting in may.

Ok, good to know! I am excited! I work part time and also have a toddler at home [emoji16] I'm thinking come May I will just focus on school and the toddler lol. I should receive the books on Friday so I'm gonna start studying and making flash cards.
