Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)
Good luck :)
Where should I start in my reading?

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the may term as well and I was wondering are the math exams on dosage calculations?
You will take a drug dosage class. It's 4 weeks long. You will have 3 classes with material and the 4th class is a 10 question exam. If you get more than 1 wrong (aka kill more than one patient) you have a week to retake it. If you don't pass it the second time with 90% of higher, you don't move forward.
If you pass, the class is over but the tests are still administered the first week of every new process/specialty so basically every 8 weeks. You can still only get 1 wrong and have a week to retake it.
The math teacher (at least at north... I'm not sure if she teachers at the other locations too) can be a bit over dramatic and very particular, but she has good intentions. Just do it her way and don't waste your time arguing... passing shouldn't be a problem. She sets you up with great notes to study for the future tests as well.

Thank you so much.
You can use a calculator at north but you need to show all your work and trust me that hour will fly. I didn't have time to use my calculator on half The problems . Also the second test is much harder, at least that's what I heard from my fellow students. They may let you take it a third time, at least that's what happened this semester. However i would not count On that.

Is the program what you expected?
