Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

All you north students ...what do you guys have to know for return ? A full head to toe assessment ?

No for my return demo I had to do head and posterior lung sounds. Everyone had something different depending on the teacher. My partner had heart and abdomen.

us at central had to do full and complete head to toe with almost 100-% accuracy on top of 4-5 other skills in under 45 minutes ...

And that is exactly why I picked north campus. I heard it's super hard there. We had other skills as well. I had to change an occupied bed, Foley care, pt transfer from a wheelchair to the bed, bed pan, vitals, restraints, putting on a hospital gown with an iv in, so it wasn't just just assessment for me either. My teacher was forgiving for minor mistakes though. We also had to do documentation as well. Graphic sheet, I and o, nurses notes. We also had a scenario for our pt too.

We have exams every other week ranging from 12-15 chapters each exam. We have to get 37 to pass
