Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

That's where I'm at. Hardest campus by far. Tried to get into North but couldn't.

How long have you been in the program? Any recommendations?

No, Central is when you compare the testing format, esp. lab. i completed Nursing process 1 theory and am retracking lab. it is luck of the draw with who your professor is.

If anyone has received a syllabus for Process II reading, I would appreciate if you shared it! I am retracking lab and would like to start my reading for process II. Please help.

Check In the May 2016 thread I posted it yesteday

can you please repost? everyone is posting about process I. I completed process 1 theory, just want to start reading up for process II

Look back a page or two from the end it's there

Question: the books in the list for process 1 and 2 are going to need them for the whole program or just that semester? I have to rent my fundamentals book and need to know how long I will have to need it. Also the med surg and all the companions and study guides that go with fundamental of nursing. I plan on purchasing Jarvis and Davis's.

hi current nursing students! I was wondering if abyone was using prior editions of any of the required textbooks, and if there was any significant learning curve in doing so?

do you say go for it, or no?

But the new books. The professors only reference the newer versions. I had a few books with the older version and I had to buy the new ones.

is there that big of a discrepancy between versions? i'm only thinking, one edition back. 8th edition, now requiring the 9th edition.

That's just what the professors will want you to get.

It's the Pharmacology for Nurses 4th edition textbook---I bought it for $180 but I'm selling it for $115! Inbox me on here if youre still interested :)
