Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Yeah I realized it isn't for me @mursynurse . It's a very tough program. Study hard !! If you need any books let me know I'm selling them cheaper

Or stethoscope

Yup. I was in the lpn to rn program last year it's beyond crazy. I failed the last theory exam by two points lol. Applied again for the generic track.

hi everyone I'm new to this thread but I've been reading the comments! so excited to start nursing school in Jan! which campus is everyone going to? I haven't decided whether I want to go to central or north as my first pick yet.

does anyone know the equivalent class for TB/OSHA/HEPATITIS on ceufast.com? I found them as 3 separate classes, but they did not add up to the 6 hours required. They each added up to 5 hours instead.

Is anyone aware of what school supplies we will need?? I'm trying to get completely ready so I don't stress when the date comes closer! Anything helps thanksí ½í¸„

When I was in the LPN to RN last year I had all of the basics like a sharpie, black pen and red pen for clinicals. But for nursing supplies I had an updated Davis drug book, adscope lite 609 stethoscope ( way cheaper than littman and the sound is better too ) , pupil gauge light with sizes, id badge holder you'll need the horizontal one , rolling professional bag and not the kids one for middle school, to hold all of your books cause who wants to hold books worth 40 lbs. Nursing shoes that cover your heel ( please make sure ). You can shop around for these. Socks that cover your ankles. DO NOT GET NO SHOW SOCKS. You'll also want to invest in something to hold your paperwork during clinicals since you CANNOT HAVE A BOOKBAG ! I attached the pictures for where I got mines off of amazon.

They will always be separated. Just take your 2 hr of hep and tb and osha is always 1 hr.

And make sure when your doing you AIDS/hiv that your doing the 4 hr one.

I'll be going to south ( pines and university ) cause I live near aventura. Coconut creek is 50 miles driving to and 50 miles driving from. Central is nice but south is the closest.

Plus everyone is pretty much rushing to get classes on central and north. Lol south is always left behind but is the military style campus. ( if you select south you'll see exactly what I mean ).

Just a reminder:

Please do not call Health Science Admissions today asking why your status or registration date has NOT been changed yet. We are working on changing everyone's information and adding drug screenings. As stated in pre-admissions, everything will be updated prior to the registration date. Once we are done accepting everyone who has accepted their seat, the program offices will send out emails. They HAVE NOT gone out yet.

Okay thank you so much :) @mursynursy

Thanks for the help!
