Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

has anyone bought uniforms? books? med supplies?

I bought one pair of scrubs at the bookstore..so expensive!! 20 for the bottoms 25 for the top. I also bought one polo there too for 30! I have to try and find another place for cheaper

I haven't bought anything yet but I do have some supplies a friend gave me. she used to be in the program then decided that wasn't what she wanted to do. she gave me some books uniforms a lab coat light pen and nursing lab kit. hopefully I'll be able to use most of it. would help with the cost of everything.

does anyone know if the pell grant amount is per semester or for the entire school year? I've submitted my fasfa and went to financial aid but they said it hasn't been processed yet.

You should've bought your pants from a uniform store. Way cheaper and are actually comfortable. The ones from the school are unisex.

When you submitted your fafsa online you should've seen how much pell your eligible for as well as loans. You can just sign into the website again to see it. If your efc was zero then you'll get full pell or the amount you have left to use from the government. Your fafsa has a couple of days to be processed for the school to actually see it.

Same situation here. Was given the wrong info a while back and now instead of getting everything for January, all my plans are pushed back until May.
