Broward College Nursing January 2012

Hey everyone!

This is a thread for anyone applying for the January 2012 class at Broward college for the generic nursing track. July 16th was the date to start applying and I believe it closes sometime in October. How many points does everyone have? I had to defer my seat so I will be starting in January for sure at north campus! :D if I can be of any help with questions pertaining to getting in or the HESI I will be glad to help! Good luck everyone!!

Hey just went to orientation and really worried about the campus i want to attend being full!!! (NORTH) I currently moved to Palm Beach so it would almost be immpossible to attend any other campus thats why im getting a little paranoid about that. No offense, but are you guys aware that there is a campus (CENTRAL) very close to the both of you?

I'm actually offended for the people that do live by central and want to attend north. "No offense?" People have their own reasons for living further away and wanting to attend North. Do you actually think its fair that BC u decided to move out of the COUNTY that other students should sacrafice where their personal preference is? No "offense" but u can easily go to PBSC which is MUCH closer to you.

Self entitled attitudes will get u NO where in this program except figuring out your next major. Just saying...

LOL!! Mabey you should take your own advice someones getting a little mad huh? Mabey you should calm down i said no offense because i was trying to be as nice as possible to the others and if u read correctly i recently moved like a month ago i have been attending BC for years now EVERYTHINGS GONNA BE OKAY I PROMISE :)

Hmmm... being mad and acting self entitled are two entirely different things lol, and fyi- just because you say " no offense" doesn't make it any less offensive, its actually the opposite.

Oh, and asking broward students if they are even "aware" that there are campuses closer to them? That's not insulting their intelligence at all, right?

I know everything is going to be just peachy, for the students who don't whine and act like brats. Its the real world honey and no one gives a poo how much u have to drive. No one gets sympathy or special treatment so I suggest you start humbling yourself now. :)

Central Campus here I come :) By the way Where are everyone getting their titers and physical done? I have no insurance and I'm trying to find the cheapest place

Hello Everyone!!

Im new to this all nurses thing but I've came across it before. I know Im late but Congratsss to you all! I will be attending SOUTH campus! I'm so excited but nervous at the same time. We made it this far so lets not stop till we finish it! It will be tough but this is how you know if you really want it. Wish you guys the best stay positive, focused and determined! :specs:

Hey Everyone! For those of you attending North Campus the professor just uploaded the welcome letter for January. It tells us everything we need to know from books we need to buy to when we are wearing our scrubs. Look it up!!! :)

I'd go to BC hands down! I went to Miami Dade for pre reqs (wasted so much time)..and find BC very challenging, very organized etc. I think that the commute alone sux (I live in Plantation too)...being a mom is hard enough...I think the extra 8 months will be beneficial..BC nurses have better reputations....pray about it. Congrats either way your a success!

GinaRob, thank you very much for the advice. I decided to go with Broward and have registered for classes at South Campus. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Which campus are going to be attending?
