  1. I'm applying for class 156. Anyone from class 153, do you all know of many people that did not get accepted into the program. I just got accepted into South University's program and it's set to begin 8/25, but I'm not feeling the greatest vibe for this school. Anyone here familiar with South University? I feel that Frontier may be a better choice for me. However, I will have to pass up this acceptance and put all of my schooling on hold to wait for an acceptance from Frontier. I would hate to put things on hold and not get accepted into the program and lose precious time. Any words of advice is greatly appreciated.
  2. I'm currently in the process of applying for this class. Very thankful they extended the deadline. Just curious, has anyone heard of South University? I am torn between Frontier and South. Several of my coworkers are attending South University's FNP program, but I'm not getting the greatest vibe about the school. I see nothing but great reviews regarding Frontier and hopeful these reviews are true representation of what's to come. Any ideas of how difficult it is to get accepted into the program? Anyhow, I wish everyone the best of luck, and look forward to reading some replies to my comment.
  3. Congrats on your acceptance. I am just finishing up with Process 1. So far I'm doing well, but its a very hard program. Enjoy the life you have now, because it will have to be placed on hold for the program. Lol As far as instructors are concerned, stay away from Gamble if you can. Pick Davis for math and pick Jackman for pharmacology. Keep in mind that preference in instructors is all relative. So what's good for me, might not be good for you. I relinquish all responsibility lol. For the other part of your question, your class should be split up amongst all the Memorial locations. Memorial Miramar will probably be an exception. Anyway, good luck in Nursing!!!! :-)
  4. Hey everyone, if you are looking for a good bookbag on wheels, check out Ikea. I would've never thought that Ikea would have a bookbag on wheels, but they do. These bags are normally $80-$100. The one in Ikea is $50 and it's really nice. It's also pretty big and will fit all of our books and then some. The bag is in the kids section of the store. Check it out everyone =)

  6. Tiff, you can wear whatever you want tomorrow. We only need to wear uniforms on our clinical days. However, our first clinical days next week, we don't have to wear our scrubs. If you don't want to wear your scrubs, you can wear a dark blue t-shirt or something similar. I hope this answers your question =)
  7. I think that the A & P section in the HESI book does not prepare you enough for the test. I would have a good basic understanding of the organ systems if I were you. If your not confident in your A & P knowledge, I would dive back into your lecture book. I feel that that is the only section in the HESI book that doesn't prepare you enough. Other than that, the other sections of the HESI book are very helpful. I hope this helps you =)
  8. hey tinyjojo, go to the south campus bookstore and buy the orientation packet for the nursing program. it's only about $5. that packet has the book list and other information that you need. i hope this helps =)
  9. I put mine in last Thursday. I haven't heard anything back. So I'm assuming all is well. Im sure if there is a problem, I would be contacted. At least I hope I would be contacted lol Did you turn in your stuff?
  10. Nice to meet you in the virtual world Tiff. Look froward to meeting you in person soon :-)
