Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)
I just want to say Congrats to all of those who were accepted. I just want to add my 2 cent…for those having an issue about North campus being cancelled for the summer should not make a big deal about it (IJS). You have work hard thus far to get the result that you anticipated; if the North campus is cancelled so what. The point is going to nursing school and making the best of the journey to be successful…This is not a popularity contest or what looks or sounds good. The North, South, and Central does not guarantee your success. I just wanted to add this note so, please don’t get defensive/defenseless because I will not go back in forth. Good luck to ALL.

Well you make a good point. Your success in school does greatly depend on your commitment.
Does anyone have the book list for Central campus? I have the one for North, but I'm not sure if there might be any differences.

Everyone getting ready for the orientation in three days!!! Wont let the fact that North is no longer accepting kill my spirit! If you want it you've got it!
I remember my first class, to the hesi, to the application to checking my status three times a day, to now Pre Admission! Seems as if it was yesterday and finally now I am accepted! I scared as a cat, nervous to the point of nausea, don't know what to expect. All I know is am one step closer and I am half way there. I am Motivated.
Hi ladies i just had my 1st scare when i checked on my status for some reason, mine said denied because i failed to respond i assume they didn't receive my email so i just had to call them so that they could change my status back to pre admission. Please double check to make sure that they received your reply email. Thank you. I called in a panic, so i have to bring my laptop to the orientation just in case there is a discrepancy. omg wow my opportunity was almost taken away because of a misunderstanding! Did anyone start their certifications yet? Orientation T-minus 2 days!

Wow! I s this the book list for all campuses?
This looks like the list on GB's web page for North campus. Click on the link below, go to reading list and click the book list for Fall-Summer 2012 pdf form. A word document will come up with a list of books. You can also look through the page and see the reading assignments and additional information for this professor.
Nursing Process CalendarsI did speak with someone in the Health Science Admissions office today at North campus and she said that even if you defer your seat till August you will receive all the information you need as if you were starting in May. This is good to know because I plan to use the summer to get a head start for the August term. I've accepted my decision to take the summer off and start in August. I must say I am VERY excited about it!!! A little traveling, studying, and relaxing sound all too good to give up now.
Hi!
I am so happy I found this thread. I have been accepted for the May 2012 program!!! I still can not believe it.
I need your advise PLEASE, I am concern about the full time enrollment, since I have two kids, mortgage, car payment, etc. Does anyone knows if the program can be managed working full time also? If not, besides federal student loans (sub and unsub), how can I fund my living expenses without working?
Thank you so much for any information!:heartbeat

I think I'm going to just go to Central campus.. I've been waiting for this for so long, I don't really want to but I'm just going to have to give it my all. I want to get my career started (I have a feeling I will be going back and forth on this decision)
