Ok... I'm not going to lie... I check my status almost every day too...lol.
Nothing but positive thoughts and luck for all of us!!!!
Hello Nayenay40!Congrats on your points & Hesi score! I am also taking Micro right now so at least its keeping me somewhat distracted as we wait for our letters. I am a North campus hopeful and am also very nervous about starting in May for the same reasons you have just said. Honestly, I am terrified of the whole program...lol. I think part of that is from all the negative comments that I read and hear about. I really try not to focus on all that, but I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me one bit. Hoping and praying its not as bad as people say it is.
I wish you and everyone else the best of luck!!!!
Thank you so much and I am scared but I see me graduating in December, for as long as i could rememeber I have always wanted to be a nurse and I won't the fear of 1 short sememster scare me out of my dream. Realistically I am worried about my finances about going part time and having 2 kids. My husband is afraid to disappoint but god won't let us fail i believe that, I don't want to defer my seat but if I have to then I will start in aUGUST. bUT GOD IS GOOD AND SO IS A CAREER IN NURSING!!! We all can do it! We gotta think positive and work hard!!! ANXIOUSLY WAITING ON AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER!!!

I completely agree Nayenay40! I have also come a long way for this and know that hard work will pay off! This is the first time that I have been unemployed (due to being laid off in May) and I must say that everything happens for a reason because it has allowed me to attend school school full-time. I always wanted to become a nurse but never had the confidence in myself that I needed till a year ago. Now I can't picture myself doing anything else but nursing! It's hard work and you will never learn enough, but knowing that I could possibly make a difference in someone's life even if its just for a minute is the ultimate accomplishment for me!
Hi Everyone,
I do not want to curb any enthusiasm you have for the program, but I always said that if someone asked I would give this advice. Don't start in the summer. I know it's exciting and I know you want to get through the program as quickly as possible, but if I had it to do over again, I would have waited.
Nursing is a second career for me and I already hold a Bachelor's degree (not in Nursing) from a University. My grades in college the first time were great and my prerequisites were as well. I'm only trying to let you know that I started with a good background and good study skills.
The summer session is shorter and the expectations are not. Taking Process I, II and Pharmacology is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. If you work or want to have any time with your family, you will not succeed. Of the 55 people that started only about 10% made it. 10 people. (I think there might have been less, but I cannot remember the actual count).
Do yourself a favor and take the summer to study the materials (you can get a book list from the bookstore) and start preparing on your own early. Be ready to start in the fall. Summer is a nightmare.
I am currently in my second specialty. I have made it through without having to retrack. It gets easier once you get used to the workload and expectations. The first semester is the most difficult and you have pharmacology thrown in so you are getting used to expectations, have a huge workload and in the summer it is a much shorter amount of time.

Hello,
I have a question: If someone completed Pharmacology before entering the Nursing Program, will it be a considered a course completed that would not need to be taken again (once in the Nursing Program); or is Pharmacology a requried Nursing course. Thanks.
So I'm in a little delimma. I just recieved a letter from Mercy yesterday inviting me for an interview. Thing is, I ave to submit my paperwork by the 28th for the program in April. And it's an LPN program that takes the same amount of time as the RN program at BC. I really want to go to BC but idk if the response will come in time for me to decide where to go. SMH Help!!!

Go the interview, but don't tell them about BC. Just go and hear what they have to say; if there are things that has to be completed before a certain deadline, hopefully that will give you enough time to wait for the acceptance letter.
