Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)
Hello to all,
I would like to know how any of you registered for the Hesi exam? I would like to take it at the BC campus, but when I called BC they gave me a 800 number and told me to call them, to have me register at the Davie Prometic site, that is next to the BC campus. Is this correct? I read in previous post that prospecitve nursing student took that exam at BC so, I wanted to know if its the actual campus or the Davie Prometic site next to the campus. Please help me my clarity. Thanks.
@ Joeane - To answer from the other forum... If accepted, I am hoping to attend North campus. Its the closest campus to me, but so far I see a lot of people on here hoping to attend Central. And I have been checking my BC app status so you're not the only one...lol. Ugh.. trying to remain patient.
@ Juliansmom2011 - I registered and took the HESI exam at Central campus. I went to the library at Central and asked someone at the front/information desk to point me in the right direction when I went to pay for the test. Where you pay is also the same place where you test. This website should have all the information you need to obtain testing dates and additional information. Hope it helps! https://www.broward.edu/success/lrc/central/hesi-test.pdf
I hear you @Hope2bpicuRN. I called them today and the lady who answered mentioned that for the summer term they are accepting 90 students for both campuses (and that's total :icon_roll ) I wonder if anyone's status has changed since?
OMG Joeane!!! REALLY?!?!?!? Now I am even MORE STRESSED!!! I thought with them accepting 2 campuses that would put the number at about 150 or so. I could of sworn I read somewhere on here that last summer they accepted about 90 students for just 1 campus (of course I could be wrong). I know my status has changed...

Don't be stressed I'm sure we will be ok. She says that they will be reviewing the apps 2x and the orientation may be 1 or 2 weeks after the deadline. I will let you know if anything changes on my end and I hope to here from you all too. I'm so looking forward to meeting my classmates!!!!

I agree with Juliansmom about going and finding out all the details from Mercy. However, a LPN program vs a RN program, I would definitely say RN all the way. Yet I do understand your concern about the possibility of not being accepted and not wanting to pass up the opportunity at Mercy. Some previous applicants have found out 2 weeks after the deadline date which would be right around Jan 28th. See if you could hold out as much as possible till that time and if for some reason you do need to submit your paperwork, is there a way to back out if you find out BC accepted you after their deadline? Programs like these are not usually written in stone.
