Hey Guys! Thought I'd start a forum for those applying for Spring 2019 of the

Brookhaven nursing program. I still have to do the Critical Thinking exam, dosage calc class, Hesi! Can't wait to talk to you guys as we apply!!

I rented mine from Amazon. It was $29.48 so not too bad and it would be for several months as a rental period although it wouldn't necessarily be needed for that long.

Did everyone check their scores?

I been checking mines since this morning and it has not been graded, I guess. Have you recieved your score?

Yes, I did receive my score. I passed :) Very thankful and glad I can now move on to focusing on the critical thinking exam.

That is great! I just received my score as well and I passed too. I am planning to retaking my hesi nin September so I will be studying for that. Good luck on your CT test

I haven't had a chance yet to contact the ADN department at Brookhaven but I've noticed a common theme is students who have taken the exam mention that it's about ethical questions/concerns in a nursing environment, kind of a "what would you do as a nurse if ____ happened". That's a bit vague so I'm hoping to learn more when I head to campus this week. It's strange to me to have an exam that possibly can't be studied for especially since it's worth a good amount of points.

Thanks! I'm taking pharmacology this semester through MVC using Lehne's Pharmacology for Nursing Care - is that the book you studied out of for the Dosage and Calc test? and what does BBC stand for? Sorry :) Thanks for the info, Nikki! Congrats on your test!!!

I took the HESI though El Centro in July - they have 2, sometimes 3 tests per month at the Paramount Testing Center in Downtown. You can register through Elsevier and find the tests dates by Googling "5 Tests Calendar El Centro"

Yes, you can bring your calculator and you can either bring the conversion chart the professor posted on BB or he provides one.
