I can't seem to locate a thread regarding applicants for Brookhaven's fall 2015 nursing program... so I wanted to start one! If there is another, please redirect me- thanks!
I plan to apply in February for acceptance to Brookhaven's fall 2015 class. I am working on my dosage calculations course by 2/20 (cutting it close!) and that is all I have left! It looks like they changed the point scoring system since just a few months ago- did anyone see that? I am always looking for guidance and support in this process, so, I am hoping this thread can provide that for me and everyone else involved!

I am taking it at TVCC in Kaufman on the 20th, but as I study, I realize that I may need more study time for a and p. We will see. I was taking it at Paris, but I decided Kaufman is closer.
If I'm doing my calculations right, I have 23 points. :-/ I don't feel like it's enough, but I'm going to go ahead and apply. My downfall is that I don't have a lot of the support courses towards the BSN under my belt. I'm working on a few now, and plan to get more out of the way in the summer, so if I'm not accepted this time around, I can try again with more points next semester.
I would definitely still apply! That is still 5 pts over the minimum accepted. Which BSN program are you hoping to bridge to? I need to make sure I have all of my BSN support courses out of the way by this summer.. but the articulation agreements on the website for TTU and UTA seems to be out of date..
Just turned in my application to Brookhaven, did anybody else make it over there yet? Don't forget they moved rooms, to X3038 I believe. Their old office is under construction at the moment so you have to hoof it up to the third floor for now!
Yay! Such a good feeling, right? Congrats! I turned mine in on Feb 2.. They had just moved into their temp office then and were so disheveled, i felt terrible for them! They were still as nice and helpful as could be though. How many points did you apply with? Did they tell you that we won't hear about our point status until March 30?
Thanks for putting the new location of where to turn it in…I live near Corpus so I'm not familiar with Brookhaven at all! We're just planning to move up that way in the next couple of months! I am ready to get this off my back! So March 30 is when they tell you the official points??? Was everything squared away with your packets???
That's what they told me- March 30. Although per the calendar on the website, we are supposed to find out march 20 because that gives students time to dispute before the interviews April 6-10. When I clarified it would be the 30th instead of the 20th she said yes, the 30th, and when I clarified about the week of interviews she said it would be the week of April 6... so I guess I am not really sure- that seems really close together! Granted, that was they day they were moving into their new offices after the flood so maybe they were just a little overwhelmed. Did they give any of you that turned in your apps a date???
