Hey everyone! I decided to start this forum because I am a current transferring Nursing student moving from AR to TX. I am in need of all the tea on the program and faculty. Please feel free to leave comments! I’m just trying to get all of my ducks in a row now. I hope to meet someone of you all along this journey!

Have you had a chance to glance at the pdf file for the ranking admission points on Brookhaven's nursing website? It will let you know exactly which classes and other requirements you need in order to apply for Fall 2020.
Yes, i just finished reading all the rules. I dont think if ill be able to enroll the TT classes, too expensive. I cant afford that $2500. I think i am pretty much done with all the prereq classes. I was gonna apply for spring2020 last admission unfortunately i got pregnant with twins so i stepback. The problem is my measles titer is negative so i cant have that shots after i give birth. Im scared tho because i might get bump out since my due date is april and the the application process has to be submitted by the end of february.

I would sent an email to the nursing advisor and see if there are any other options you have around this. I'm sure you're probably not the first one who's had this problem. Texas Tech has a grant that is through JP Morgan Chase that will pay for both classes. I didn't meet the 3.0 GPA requirement before the summer so that's why I had to pay out for the first class but I plan on using the JP Grant for the second class at TT.

No, technically "none of the support classes" HAVE to be done.... it's point system.... but the less classes you have done the more classes you have to take DURING the nursing program and that can be stressful.... The more support classes you have done the better chances of you ranking higher then other applicants.. I'll be applying with 2 support classes missing but my points will be above 29. ....
You're only allowed to take the Hesi once per application period... so for example.. lets say you want to apply for Fall 2021.....(you have 2 years..so you'll apply in February 2021).... that means You can take the Hesi Spring of 2020.... you can take it again Fall 2020... and You can take it early Spring 2021... you technically have 3 chances to take it.

Like @eriPackWOman stated, the support courses don't have to be done before the application period but it helps on points and ranking.

I applied to El Centro but I'm looking for a shorter term program.
