Hey everyone! I decided to start this forum because I am a current transferring Nursing student moving from AR to TX. I am in need of all the tea on the program and faculty. Please feel free to leave comments! I’m just trying to get all of my ducks in a row now. I hope to meet someone of you all along this journey!

Hello @Tjenkins7! I think one of the best ways to find out information about Brookhaven is by looking at past forums ex: Brookhaven spring 2019, fall 2018, etc... I posted Brookhaven Spring 2020 but Brookhaven Fall 2019 will have some good information as well to help you out. Plus, those who are applying for Fall 2020 will respond too. Welcome to Texas!

Woot, stoked, just took my HESI today (first attempt) and scored 94%. Passed my calculations course with a 97%, now I just need to pass all my pre-reqs (5 classes, agh), I kinda did everything orifice backwards, hahahahaha.

Don't feel bad. I got stuck with BIOL 1406 this month and then right after I have to retake BIOL 2401 and MATH 1314 next month. So I'm in the same boat. I know you're doing Fall 2020 but you got this girl. I'm happy you passed that HESI. One less worry to deal with. You got this girl!

I don't feel bad, I actually just only started school back up in March, I'm just needing sciences courses.. cause I took easy sciences like astrology and geology and crap first time around lmao. (not like they would have counted cause I took those courses back in 2006-2009)

I just finished BIOL 1406 for a Maymester.. I scored an A, but i had no life during that time, never again will I take a science course in 2.5 weeks. are you retaking college algebra? Or is this your first time taking it ?

Retaking College Algebra. Girl this would be like my fifth or sixth time taking. I pretty much did the bare minimum and failed twice on the first like three attempts. But now that it counts, I'm pushing for a B or above on all my classes. My BIOL 1406 I'm so behind already I don't know if I can get an A or B. I'm just hoping to pass so I can take BIOL 2401.

what classes are you going to take in the fall or you haven't decided yet?

Summer 1: chemistry and I’m taking that same TT class you’re taking

Summer 2: A&P1

Fall: A&P2 and that second TT course

Wintermester/Dec: Science of Nutrition

Spring 2020: Pharmacology and applying for fall cohort

Summer 2020: Micro and I’m debating on taking Nursing Path.

Why are you retaking your sciences ?? A good average to get an interview is 23-24+ points

I was trying to only retake ap1 but due to a technicality with my last grade in biol 2401 last year, i had to retake biol 1406 then biol 2401 next month in order to still be on track for spring 2020 so yeah. Other than that, i wont be retaking anything else besides that and algebra fir mountain view. I’ll be either at either 29 or 30 points once everything’s said and done.
