Brookhaven Fall 2020

Published

Hey everyone! I decided to start this forum because I am a current transferring Nursing student moving from AR to TX. I am in need of all the tea on the program and faculty. Please feel free to leave comments! I’m just trying to get all of my ducks in a row now. I hope to meet someone of you all along this journey!

Summer 1: chemistry and I’m taking that same TT class you’re taking

Summer 2: A&P1

Fall: A&P2 and that second TT course

Wintermester/Dec: Science of Nutrition

Spring 2020: Pharmacology and applying for fall cohort

Summer 2020: Micro and I’m debating on taking Nursing Path.

Why are you retaking your sciences ?? A good average to get an interview is 23-24+ points

Who are you taking for AP 1? Im trying to take alegre or serra. They are both pretty good plus i took alegre before for scit years ago.

I have information. Inbox me your email and I'll send it to you.

For some reason reason it won't allow me to make you. I will probably have to go on my laptop. Are those classes still worth points toward admission?

Yes they are and you may not be able to send me a message because you are still fairly new. Once you post so many posts then I think they take that off of you where you can send messages. Let me message you instead.

Yes I did. Thank you so much. I noticed the requirement for TT is that you need to have 44 credit hours to apply. I just need 3 more classes to be able to apply to Texas Tech

Awesome!

Looks like I'll be applying for Fall ? Circumstances of life pushed me back but this gives me a chance to retake more classes and get my score up. How are you guys doing so far?

? ? Hope everyone who took summer classes has survived!

This summer was rough but I made it through!

So I'm in the air about applying Spring 2021 instead due to wanting to spend a year saving money so i'm not stressing about making ends meet.

Like someone told me once, “Bills will always be there.” Only you can assess your situation and make a final decision but if you can push through don’t put it off for that (if you can). I know my family’s finances won’t be on point for start of nursing school BUT i know the longer I delay this, the longer I suffer paying with an income that’s not sustainable. I would hope that you still apply with me for fall 2020 but if not, I respect it ✊? There are other resources you can rely on to help you. Have you looked at if you can downgrade on something...cable, internet, or is it more than that? Then again, only live for today friend. You never know...things can turn around in an instant before that time in your favor. Pray about it and give it to Him to turn around your situation because that’s a desire of your heart to finish school. Talk to you soon!!!

I'm doing a career change, and between teaching and working at a Nursing home I make about 57-60k a year, my biggest concern is I have a house, and the mortgage needs to get paid for, so I need to be financially stable and not have zero in my savings before I try to quit my job and become a full-time student. If I didn't own a house, I wouldn't be tripping about bills.
