Brookhaven Fall 2019

Published

Anyone applying for Fall 2019? I know it seems far away, but the application is due the end of Feb. It is best we begin to prepare now, especially those who need immunizations.

I need:

Critical thinking exam.

Retake Hesi for a higher competitive score.

Dosage calculations workshop.

I'm taking Chem 1405 and Phil 2306 this fall and Pharma in winter.

Well, I may have more than I thought. I thought if your GPA was 3.0 or above, it would be a flat 3 points. Am I correct?

Hey you guys! If y’all don’t mind me asking, what points are you guys all applying with? Taking out the critical thinking exam docked me some points, so now I’m down to 26 points and nervous!

24. So Im one of students you’re ranked above ?

I doubt my 20.01 points will be enough to make the cut this round, but I will remain hopeful. I'm currently taking Micro, which will give me some additional points for next semester at least.

GPA - 3.21
Support - 3
Hesi - 13.80

Applications can be submitted in less than a week.

I don't think that is correct. Barbara looked over my application yesterday and I asked her if I was to factor the decimal in with my GPA/HESI and I think she said yes. A hundreth of a point can determine who does and does not get invited for an interview, so I can't imagine they'd make it a flat score. I might be wrong? We'll find out when we get our points confirmed in March.

I just wonder how they would break the tie between a person with same the points.

I spoke with Dean Meyer this afternoon, and he confirmed that they do factor in the decimals for the GPA/HESI.

I assume it would all come down to the interview/writing sample

Does the HESI have to be taken at Brookhaven or will they accept scores from other testing sites?r

You can take it elsewhere

Anyone wanting to sign up for the TT Concurrent Enrollment Nursing Pipeline (CENP), please remember that the Summer deadline is March 1st. For preferential review for admission to Brookhaven, only one of the two TT classes must be completed prior applying. This will not be beneficial for Fall 2019, but would be helpful for Spring 2020.

Nice! I will be applying for Spring 2020 and I wanted to know how to do this as well. Thank you so much!!! Now the deadline above says March 1st so is that to say that you have to join the TT before actually enrolling the ADN program in January next year? Do you know when the next deadline will be and will that deadline still be good for Spring 2020 as well? Sorry I'm asking so many questions!

Spring 2020 (Brookhaven) will take applications around September 2019. If you want the preferential review for Brookhaven, the TT class(es) must be completed first so you can include the official TT transcript with your Brookhaven application. Summer classes at TT are the only way that is a possibility, and the deadline to apply is March 1st.

This is a partial printout of additional info that I received from the nursing advisors: tt.pdf
