Hi all! I thought I would start a new thread for all the people who got in Brookhaven's Fall 2010 program. I figured the people who did not get in would not want to see our posts anymore.
I did want to let you all know that I asked my friend that is first semester at Brookhaven, and she said that the scrubs they wear for clinical rounds are hunter green. They have to be embroidered on the back "brookhaven college" and the front has to have your name. Apparently there is a special order form that will be sent to us by ***. She suggests that you get 2 pairs when *** sends the order form, becasue she only got one, and she is now ordering an extra pair. She also said that she bought some other scrubs (all different colors) to wear when she is at school, because it is easier to work in. *** will e-mail us about all this but thought I would clue you in on what I know.
Anyone else got any news? LOL

I have the older edition which is the same one my friend used in this class. She said it worked just fine. I can let you borrow it for this semester. I will have to take this class in our fourth semester. Let me know if you want it.
Thanks for the info about the extra 20 getting in! Amazingly, I did not receive a phone call! There must have been plenty of students who had the same score, or within a hundredth of each other!

I emailed our Foundations professor to ask if she will be using the same book as the Spring semester and she said yes. By the way she's the same professor for End of Life (Mrs. R_ _ th). I just bought it on Amazon today so that I can start reading it throughout the summer. This is the book if anyone else wants to buy/rent/borrow it and start reading: Kozier & Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing: Concepts, Process, and Practice 8th Edition by Berman, Snyder, Kozier, Erb. I PMed Chelsea and got this info so a big THANK YOU to Chelsea!!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing! I had bought some nursing guides (for nursing students) etc. at Boarders and was just reading those. It's good to know we can get to working on something (especially since this is the first semester I have not had classes in years).
Regarding the book package, I think mostly everybody I have talked to regretted buying it. I wish I would have bought used books online...it would have saved a ton! They will try and sell the "electronic" package to you, which sounds really amazing, but in actuality, I have used it three times during the whole semester. Ha. Not worth the money.
Just want to follow up on this. Chelsea do you know if anyone else has found the electronic package helpful? What exactly is it, electronic versions of the textbooks? Also, do you know if the electronic package is Mac compatible? I am kind of a laptop toter so I am kind of interested. But I definitely do not want to spend the extra money if I won't use it...
