Hi all! I thought I would start a new thread for all the people who got in Brookhaven's Fall 2010 program. I figured the people who did not get in would not want to see our posts anymore.

I did want to let you all know that I asked my friend that is first semester at Brookhaven, and she said that the scrubs they wear for clinical rounds are hunter green. They have to be embroidered on the back "brookhaven college" and the front has to have your name. Apparently there is a special order form that will be sent to us by ***. She suggests that you get 2 pairs when *** sends the order form, becasue she only got one, and she is now ordering an extra pair. She also said that she bought some other scrubs (all different colors) to wear when she is at school, because it is easier to work in. *** will e-mail us about all this but thought I would clue you in on what I know.:up:

Anyone else got any news? LOL

Hey Niki, good idea about starting a new thread for us. I'm dying to hear some news from anyone at this point. Thanks for updating what you know. Have you or anyone else gotten their physical done?

No I have not. I was not sure if we were suppose to wait, or what?? My friend that is in right now told me that they did not send e-mails out to their group until the month before class started, and then they got bombarded with things to do. When I talked to *** she said she would start sending e-mails out once they got past the end of the semester (the current one). I sure hope we do not have to wait until July..... I will run out of things to keep me busy by then! LOL I just finished the last of my vaccines last week though. Actually I had to go get my blood drawn to do the chicken pox tidier. I know I had it when I was little so I was trying to save myself 60.00 and get the blood drawn instead.

I am also dying to meet everyone. I was done with every step before I even applied (Physical & CPR etc). I wanted to apply at Northlake also and they require everything before applying. Well.. I got my letter from them yesterday and I have been accepted at Northlake as well (How lucky). I will have to tell them no because I would love to stay with Brookhaven.I called the nursing division yesterday and Ann told me that she will email us by the end of this week. I also want to tell you something. I know it is already too late but may be someone else can take an advantage from it. I never had to pay more than &20.00 for my vaccination. You can go to county health department and can get every kind of shot for &20. See you soon. Bye

Which office did you go to? I used to go to the North Dallas Health center the beginning of last year and found out that they closed all the health centers down when I try to go back to get the rest of my shots. They only charged $3 per person there and you can get as many shots as you want.

Hi PHProvy... I wanted to get into the End of life Issues class this summer. I was infront of the computer at 8 in the morning, but for some reason my screen didn't give me the option to register. I kept refreshing the page but it didn't work. Finally after five minutes I tried to open another tab and by that time the class was full. I always had bad luck with this class. Last fall I had to drop from the class because the teacher changed the days of the class. It was conflicting with my other classes so I had to take my name off. I talked to Ann about what happened and she said that now I can take this class in our last semester (next fall). I really wanted to get done with this before the nursing school, but I don't have any option either. I hope some one will drop the class and I can get in. Please if any of you guys see the spot available or know someone who wants to drop the class, let me know. Thanks
