I'm so sick of Britney Spears. Ever since she flipped off fans/reporters in Mexico I have lost all respect for her. The background checks don't bug me. But as far as catered food and roses... the words spoiled brat come to mind. And anyway how special are roses when they are demanded rather than given?

Well it is all good Background checks for staff that has been there
for a while, it goes to show that it takes people to feel paranoid to get them
thinking. I hope that she is as concerned about the security of her baby as it grows up to be a contributing member of society, and not just another paranoid celebrity.
I'm sorry, britney who??? seems that it wont matter once the labor starts... she can demand all she wants. she will get the same excellent care from the L&D nurses no matter who she is. so why give her any more of our precious time? and her free publicity? let her demand all she wants.

Renee, you are mixing up hatred with out and out disgust and disdain for what we worship in this country. No-to-little talent celebs and their divaish ways are annoying to many of us. It's not hatred per se, it's just exasperation and disgust. There is a difference in my book.

Deb, it's no secret that celebrities have their share of enemies the same as they have their share of fans. It's also no secret that non celebrities babies have come up missing from hospitals (baby's stolen). Stories where babies come up missing due to kidnapping from the hospitals, from their cribs at home, from backyards, grocery store shopping carts, department store areas, etc. etc. are what makes me question why anyone -- especially those of us in healthcare -- wouldn't understand any well-known public figure wanting to protect their unborn child.
If I were a celebrity, I would certainly do everything in my power to protect myself during my pregnancy, during the labor and delivery process, and after having the baby -- at ANY cost! Britney has the money to make this happen for herself, so why condemn her -- a mother to be -- for wanting to protect this very precious moment in her life. Many may not like the choices she has made as a celebrity.......well, many non celebrities trash other non celebrities for the sake of trashing them, out of jealousy, or for whatever reasons. :)
I guess it sickens me when some people -- especially nurses -- can't present a more professional tone and professional stance when it comes to birthing of babies that just happen to be a celebrity's child -- whether still in utero or already born. It was we, the public, that made those celebrities rich. They do not become celebrities without the support of the people who buy their music, see their movies, and scream when their seen at concerts and out in public. The public wants to take photos with them. THAT is how they become the celebrities that make so many want to puke. :)
Brit has a private plane. I sure hope she gives birth in the sky because knowing how nurses feel about her choice to protect her unborn baby and privacy during her baby's birth, no wonder the woman wants security to the max, and background checks on the staff. IF it is indeed Britney putting this news out to the media. You know we can't believe everything the media spits out of their greedy mouths. Half truths are STILL not the whole truth, and just because something may be read in print or passed by word of mouth doesn't mean it really happenend. Think about all the times when something negative was told about ourselves...the lies, half-truths, and such.

Please, lady, you are taking this thread waaay too seriously. No one wants harm to come to Britney Spears or her baby no more than they want it to come to anyone else. What we have here is a venting of people who are fed up with having the screeches of no talent (and the girl ranks even above Jessica Simpson and Shania Twain in the world of talentless wonders) brats shoved down our throats around every turn. I have never willingly listened to Britney Spears, nor have I ever cared that she got married and immediately divorced, then remarried, now she is pregnant. I AS WELL AS MILLIONS OF OTHERS COULD CARE LESS. :barf01:
But like it or not Britney Spears is going to be shoved in our faces until Kingdom Come. And if we have to suffer through the endless barrage of Britney this and that everytime we turn on a tv or even make a trip to the grocery store, why on earth should we not vent and gripe when we can't even get away from her on the nurse's message boards?
Personally, Britney Spears and most of the others turn my stomach and are just more pollutants in the pop wasteland. I wish to goodness she and Madonna and Tom Cruise and that kid he is going to marry and Jessica Simpson would RETIRE and get out of the spotlight!!!
