im actually thinking of deakin.. or any other schools near glen iris. anyone one familiar? plssss

thanks so much.....

hello everybody.. i've finally received my approval letter from nbv.. i'm good to go for the bp.. anyone here planning to take the bp in deakin on jan 2011?

@gemina_star are there still available slots in uni of ballarat WI?

i'm from the Philippines by the way. How much will they require us financially to get the 456 visa (for example: if my school fee is around 10K)?

Specializes in Oncology, Medical.

I believe they still do accept applicants for September. I am not sure how much they will require but i think around 3000aud.

@needlefoxRN and gemini_star.. thank you for the info.. i'll go ahead and contact them..

@gemini_star is it 3000 or 30k? i'd deeply appreciate a reply.. because i applied before for a student visa and they required more than 30k.. i'm hoping bp costs less coz it's only for 3 mos..

jaybadette, the conversion program is a 1yr program technically just the same as BP and is offered in universities, all of which can lead you to registration as a Div 1 nurse. from what is said to me, they are comparable to tertiary education so it can be an advantage esp when looking for an employer or when you want to further your studies. curtin doesn't require post-grad experience, just the letter from then-NMBWA (i dunno what they're called now since the natl rego just commenced). ielts score im not sure cos i just gave them the same IELTS TRF that i gave to NMBWA for assessment which has at least 7 bandscore in each category

btw the fee is quite expensive when you intend to do the conversion, as of 2010 curtin's fee is $23,000. gladly i am a resident (commonwealth supported) so my fee is subsidized making it just around $5k +. Cheers!

@ HOTPOTATO

if you are a resident so where do you have to apply for the " commonwealth fund"? will you just tell it to the uni that you are a resident and they will be the one to give you form for the commonwealth fund thing?

pls help. dont know the HOWs to avail the commonwealth fund thing.

thanks:)

Ryan from the other thread.....(Newly Grad Filipino) if im not mistaken ... is well versed with the "commonwealth fund". He availed of this for his BP :) Maybe you can ask him about it :)

Good Luck!!:up::up:
