Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

Looks like a real nice family, so sad such young people and I didn't know them but what I have read this family was well liked, and did so much for people, this is a loss for their familys, friends, co-workers and I think everyone around the world, R.I.P the 5 of you
My wife who is an RN uses this site quite a bit, and I heard about this on Google news. I just wanted to register my condolences to everyone affected here. Thoughts and Prayers, and memory eternal, for Brian and his family.
I've lurked on this site for nearly two years, never posting a thing until now. I read about the story on CNN and thought to myself, "Wow, how horrible." Never once thinking it might be someone who has had such an impact on me and countless others. I'm saddened, angry, and shocked at this horrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family members and all those who were close to Brian and his family.
My condolences to the family, both their immediate and the allnurses family. I'm not a nurse, yet (CNA) but I really appreciate this website and grateful for its creation and insight. God bless them and may they RIP.
So so sad to hear about this. My thoughts are with everyone involved. This forum site has been a huge help to me, and it continues to be the supportive and generous site it always has been. RIP Brian and family.

That is awful news... Prayers and positive thoughts to all. I am glad to know that AN will continue to be the helpful resource that it has become.
