Breast Implants

I was just wondering how you feel about this subject. Do you have them? Would you get them? Have you cared for patients with them and what was your experience? Have you seen any good or bad outcomes?

Excuse me BlingBling? Are you implying I'm overweight? I don't believe I said that. What rock did you crawl out from under?

BBing= Bodybuilding not BlingBling.

Yeah, but how bout all those married guys that forget what a bar of soap is or a toothbrush???

They might not be fat, but wheweeee.....

Or how bout those whose most intellectually stimulating thing they consider is monday night football?

There are many ways of "letting oneself go", and none of them are mutually exclusive to either sex in particular.

I don't remember you asking me a question. And yes I understand why nurses come here. But hypocrisy, especially from fellow (old ones at that) nurses/nursing students whatever is something I can't stand. Also people that talk about a subject they have no clue about. And I never attacked anyone on here personally.

No, I did not ask YOU a question, I posted a reply here. That is what a fourm is made for..... replies to posts.

Still, you need to lighten up, I am done with this post..... gone haywire! Be well all!

Truer words have never been spoken. Being out of shape is one thing but having bad hygiene is another. That's just laziness. A bigger, juicier butt on an out of shape woman is much sexier than a beer belly I'll give you that. :)

I hate to see anyone give good money away to cosmetic surgeons - they prey on women's insecurities and are generally a scuzzy lot. I would never give anesthesia in one of their offices - don't care what the perks are. If a pair of artificial boobs makes you happy, I envy you for such simple little thoughts. Ethically, it would be more appealing if you donated the same amount of money you spent on the surgery to groups who go to poor countries and do REAL plastic surgery.

i feel people should be thankful and very proud of what they are blessed with right from the jump. futhermore many women choose to get breast implants because they feel unattracted or have low self esteem, but really true beauty comes and lies from with in ;)

Well...it was MY money, MY body, MY surgeon who was also MY FRIEND. MY artificial boobs make me veryyyyyy happy and also make my husband verryyyyyy happy......and neither of our thoughts are simple, thank you very much! AND.....if I were going to give my money away to poor people (which I have on many occasions) it would be in our OWN poor country, be it for plastic surgery or whatever the need may be. I really can't believe someone can think like you do ....and probably countless others. Just because we spend a little money on ourselves, we can't find it in our hearts to help others? Makes me wonder how many others you have helped??????

And now I'm done with this....it's ridiculous. I, nor anyone else should have to feel like they have to defend any cosmetic surgery they have had. Nor should they feel like they should have to defend the money they spent on it.

OH.....one more thing....I also had a tummy tuck back in 1988 when I had my first implants. Spent quite a bundle on that surgery too. Am I going to be attacked for spending my own money on myself? I had 3 children in 5 years and my tummy wasn't as flat as I wanted it to be. I had the money to spend and I did it. Not going to defend myself for spending the money on a cosmetic surgeon. Nope...not gonna.

Cosmetic surgery is very controversial. Some are so against it, they would bar it from everyone. It is a decision that cannot be taken lightly due to frequent complications including death. It has also made some people VERY happy. It has the potential to improve a person's outlook on life and has made some people wish they had never heard of plastic surgery. If you choose to have surgery, make sure it is a board certified plastic surgeon. There are way too many dermatologists, gynecologists and general surgeons "playing" at being aesthetic surgeons!

I have a lot of compassion. But where my compassion ends is where self pity and laziness begins. Just because I'm a nurse doesn't mean I have to accept everything and everyone! I'm sorry but a majority of the women in my nursing classes are fat and overweight and they don't have some preexisting medical condition nor any mitigating circumstances or no more of a chaotic life than anyone else that prevents them from exercising. Kids and a family are no excuse. I witness what some of my "fellow" nursing students eat on a daily basis.

Ever tell them this to their faces how you feel about their habits?

Voting for a close to the thread. Or at least have another one open WITHOUT the insults and generalized slams to genders, married people, overweight people, etc.

(Next time i'll remember to put the boots on and a raincoat before walking through that much mud)
