The PVT threads are coming very, very soon in the dozens, I am sure.
Dude. Read this.
1. You must wait 24 hours before trying the PVT or you're going to have a bad time.
2. You must enter valid credit card info or you will not get ANY pop up except the one that tells you to stop lying about your credit card info.
3. 24 hours. SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE.
4. If you enter your credit card info, and click submit, you are CONSENTING TO GETTING CHARGED, whether you passed or not.
5. Pearson can fix that glitch (aka, the trick) any time they feel like it. In my opinion, might be kinda fun to watch the freak out if they do it literally today. But I'm a mean person.
6. Wait until TWENTY FOUR HOURS AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR EXAM. Even then, you still might not get an accurate result, but if you're going to get charged erroneously, it will usually happen if you do the trick BEFORE TWENTY FOUR HOURS.
7. Did I mention don't do it before 24-hours after taking the test?
8. Better yet, just wait for quick results. Honest to god, if you're willing to literally BET $200 on whether you passed or not, you better be completely ready to pay it. Otherwise, just wait for quick results. It's $192 cheaper.
JUST DON'T DO THE PVT. So much easier that way.

ANYWHO! To all the new grads out there, congratulations! You've crossed the first of many finish lines. The next year is going to kick your butt in so many ways, but you will come out the other side strong, wise, and awesome. Cheers to all of you!!! (And wait 24 hours)
Like a PP, my pass results were posted by the Florida BON less than 24 hours from the time I STARTED my test, so I was one of the lucky ones. I understand the anxiety after taking the NCLEX, but ultimately, after you've finished the exam you can't change whether you passed or failed. After I took my test I binged on pizza and a bottle of moscato and let the universe tell me my results when it was good and ready. Wait it out people. You'll survive.
I liked the old PVT better, where it was all based on the "good pop-up."
But you have to give PV credit for figuring out a way to make money off of impatient people. Besides, the failers are already signed up for the next go-round!
Y'know, new Canadian nurses are writing the NCLEX now, but BACK IN MY DAY (last spring, I mean) we were writing a paper and pencil exam called the CRNE (Canadian Registered Nurses' Exam) and we had to wait SIX WEEKS for our results. Which came IN THE MAIL. Can you imagine?! There were no tricks! No popups! Nothing to be done but wait, and somehow we all survived. I can't imagine how.
I'm sitting for the ibclc credential for lactation consultants. I take it on July 27th or 28th and we don't hear back until late October early November. Hah! now that sucks and there is no tricks.

Those states that don't participate in quick results must love to watch people suffer.
My state doesn't participate in quick results. However, 46 hours after I finished my NCLEX, my GN permit became "null & void" (passed! failures read "expired") and within 47 hours, I had a nursing license number. So, some states don't participate in quick results not because they want to watch people suffer but because they've at least got some efficiency going.

Only six weeks? Oh my. I wrote my State Boards over two days-- pencil and paper -- in July (offered once a year, and that's it) and the results came in October. And did not die of waiting.
And I had to walk uphill in knee-deep snow, both ways, to and from clinical, too.
