Starting a thread for Boston College Direct Entry MSN applicants for Summer 2019. Looks like we are the last class before BC goes to a DNP direct entry program!
I'm applying for the Psych/MH track, based on work/life experiences in the mental health realm. My cousin went through the BC program a few years ago, loved it, and has a job she really enjoys.

Good luck everyone!!
Thank you for the update! I’m on the waitlist so I’m very grateful to you and hoping I’m able to get a spot. Best of luck to you in the program you decided to accept!

I think I'm going to take my spot in women's health at BC.
Hi daisychains11, I'm going to the University of Minnesota! My husband was accepted to a PhD there as well so we won't have to live apart during grad school, plus it's much cheaper. I also applied for dual admission to their DNP in midwifery so I'm hoping to streamline from their Master's into that program.
For applicants who are placed on the waitlist for PMHNP specialty or other specialty, I have contacted BU and this is the email response I have received:
<<We received a number of well qualified applicants for the program and we were forced to make some tough decisions. In the end, a waitlist letter simply means that, if we have the space available, you would have been admitted. However, due to having a finite number of seats, we were forced to place you on the waitlist.
Unfortunately, there is no specific timeline. We will review the waitlist candidates on a space available basis. When and if a seat becomes available, we will consult the waitlist and re-review those who remain. From there, we will render an acceptance. This could be as soon as next week or as late as July. Rather than having a specific cutoff date, we keep the options open for any potential seat that becomes available. It is simply contingent upon a seat opening up.>>
I am curious if completed applications were reviewed and applicants accepted on a rolling basis until application deadline. I submitted my application very very last minute and there were issues with BU receiving my final transcript (I was not informed of this until I proactively checked up on a several times. I remember reading in this tread that someone else had experienced a similar issue.) In any event, this remains a waiting game from now until infinity? Just kidding, July, per the email.
Anyone else also waitlisted for PMHNP or other specialties and want to form a support group on Facebook?

Yes, I would be interested! It’s tough waiting and not knowing for sure what will happen. Thank you for checking and for reporting what you found out.

Hi! I was also waitlisted for the PMHNP specialty and would love to join a FB group. I had called them last week to ask about this and was given a similar answer. The woman I spoke to said I could hear back in May or June, or if I didn't ever hear back it's because I wasn't accepted.

Has anyone asked if the waitlist is ranked or how many people typically get off the waitlist?
