I turned in my application today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg...I am so scared. I know its early in the game but anyone else applying for fall Bon Secours for 09? I have been doing non nursing classes for 3 semesters and finally I am ready to apply. I wanted to go into NS with only nursing classes! Now the waiting game!!!!! I cant belive I am at this point allready. It felt like forever! Now if NS goes by this fast (if I get in). :yeah:

Thanks Helen! I'll let you know if I get in. Are you wanting days

or nights? Do you get a choice? How old is your suzie? My daughter

is fifteen (Ashley). Jen

After reading posts by people who were accepted to other schools for the fall semester, i took one of their ideas, and thought maybe after more acceptance letters go out, those of us who want to can get together to get coffee one day before school starts and we're all swamped with homework. That way we can get to know each other, and get a head start on forming study groups!

If I get accepted, you can count me in!!!!! Jenn

I told them I wanted days, my daughter Suzanne is almost 7 months old, shes growing really fast. We should definatlley do the meeting each other thing. It would probably help a lot. :-) I sure wish they would send me my next steps like the fingerprinting info and the background check stuff, etc. I'm getting bored waiting, lol. :)

The waiting process is hard. I retake the teas this sat. June 6. I have been

studying this book all week. I took yesterday off from work. I'm off every

Thursday, so, that gives me today to study, too. My husband has been helping me. I'm good with the math portion. I passed with an 67% only because I ran out of time and guessed at around "10". I know now I need to keep a strict eye on the time. I got a 50% on science. I feel like I'm better prepared now. I'm sure it will turn out ok. I think I have a pretty strong application. My references are from the doctor I work for and two of my nursing supervisors. I've been an MA since I was nine-teen ( I'm 33 now). I work in primary care. I've been wanting to go back to college for some time now. I've been a JSR for three semesters. I love school. I'm working toward my BSN. Anyway, thank you for listening. It's nice to have someone who can relate with. Keep me informed on your stuff!! Jenn

Jennamec,

I will be there this Sat too re-taking the TEAS.

I passed, but barely. I had a 60% on science. And 67% on math. And just like you, I had to guess on about the last 10 of math because I ran out of time.

I am re-taking it, figuring that it wont hurt to try and get a higher score, especially on the science.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!! :D

KB, you passed, why are you re-taking it? Do you want a higher score

to better your chances of getting accepted? They do accept 60%. Well,

it's smart to re-take. I wonder what "most" people got. Well, good luck girl!! Jennamec

I didn't want to retake, but then I called up to admissions and asked if it would make a difference if I got a higher score and she said I could better my chances. At this point, I'll do ANYTHING! Even if it means sitting through another 5 hr test again! lol

I'm curious, is this a generic Bon Secours program and all of them are the same no matter what city/state or is this a thread of a specific program/area/

Specializes in Cardiac Surgery, OR nursing.

This thread is specific to the Bon Secours program in Richmond, and i'm not sure if there are any other programs through Bon Secours in other states. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Oh, okay. I volunteer at a Bon Secours hospital. GREAT Place to work and if you need medical care it's a great place to get that too! God Bless you all who are waiting to hear if you've been accepted. Keep us posted.

I don't blame you girl! I would do the same thing. I am really hoping

I do better than a 60 tomorrow. As much as I have been studying, I would

like to do well on it. Ok, see ya tomorrow. Jennamec GOOD LUCK!!
