Bon Secours Fall 09

I turned in my application today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg...I am so scared. I know its early in the game but anyone else applying for fall Bon Secours for 09? I have been doing non nursing classes for 3 semesters and finally I am ready to apply. I wanted to go into NS with only nursing classes! Now the waiting game!!!!! I cant belive I am at this point allready. It felt like forever! Now if NS goes by this fast (if I get in). :yeah:

I find it hard to believe I have no one to wait this out with! LOL! Come on...I know Bon Secours has more applicants for fall 09. If they dont well GREAT for me..guess I am in! HAHA!!!:coollook:

Hi ssnva1!

I am applying to the Bon Secour for the Fall 2009. I have not sent in my application just yet but I play on it within the next month or 2. I am taking a trip to the school This upcoming week to visit the school and speak to a few people. But I am currently in a Medical Assisting program as it is preparing me for the Registered Nursing Classes that I will face at Bon Secour.

I am extremely excited about this school as it took me awhile to make a right decition on where to go.

If it's only me and you there, then I guess we will have one on one attention from the teachers ey? hehehe

Welcome!!!:yeah: I am so happy I have some one to wait with! Are you gonna do day or night? I am going to do night! Ask lots of questions when you go and post them! And yes...we should have no problem if our class is just the 2 of us! LOL!

I am wanting to take Night Classes because I will more then likely have to work during the day. I live in Newport News now and when I go there this week, I am planning on finding a decent apartment to live in while I'm there thats if I get in

Yes, I am interested in finding a room mate when I get there. Did you write a good Essay? I'm not sure what I'm going to write yet. I'm usually pretty good with writing Essays. They don't need my SAT/ACT scores because I am almost 30 years old..hehe. But other then that Essay, My application is ready!

I am 30 as well. I just need to to mail in my reference letters which I plan on doing this week and my application will be complete other than the Teas. I just called and paid my application fee. I think my essay was good. I had a lot of people edit it. I will email it to you and you tell me what you think. Whats your GPA?

In high school my GPA I think was lower then a 2.5 but im not sure. I did sports and I put sports before education in HS and now that those sportshave not landed me a multi million dollar contract with the pro's I am regreting even playing sports lol. Back then I didnt value my education like I do now. I wish I did because it would not be as hard to get a good education as it is now. I've been a meat cutter ever since I graduated HS and I have always wanted to do something in the medical field, I just didn't know what until recently going through the Medical Assisting Program at a college here in newport news.

So, what I did is enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College to take atleast 18 credit hours before September gets here. I will be going to school with a full load during the day, going to school at night for MA and working full time at night lol. I know this is what I want to do and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. I am very dedicated when I set my mind to something...:)

I would love to read your Essay. I'm not sure what I am going to write yet but like you did, I am going to get a few people to read mine as well. My aunts and uncles and cusines are all doctors so im sure they will be able to help me out in that department..hehe

Hi there, I am applying for the Fall 09' RN program at Bon Secours! They told me that they do not have a waiting list, which is kind of surprising considering all of the other schools around here usually do. I live in Yorktown, VA and work in Williamsburg. I have a baby girl who is 8 weeks old, and I have been putting off becoming a nurse for some time now, but she is the extra incentive for me to go back. I told them that I was going to become an LPN possibly, but they told me not to bother because that won't help me in their classes up there. That was kind of comforting because I could have really wasted some time and money, which luckily I did not. Anyway, I am getting ready to submit my application, and then I guess we will see where it takes me from there! Good luck to all. Hello Helen!

I have to take a College Prep Chem. Class before I can apply. I'm going to take the class online and do it between 8 to 10 weeks. I am going through the Medical Assistance classes at Everest College in Newport News and will graduate in July!

I live in Newport News and work in Williamsburg!
