Bon Secours Fall 09

Published

I turned in my application today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg...I am so scared. I know its early in the game but anyone else applying for fall Bon Secours for 09? I have been doing non nursing classes for 3 semesters and finally I am ready to apply. I wanted to go into NS with only nursing classes! Now the waiting game!!!!! I cant belive I am at this point allready. It felt like forever! Now if NS goes by this fast (if I get in). :yeah:

hello, are u still volunteering at bon secours? what are the requirements, are they still accepting new volunteers?

i just put my application in for volunteering at st.marys. those of you that dont get accepted, dont be discouraged. there are other options or re-apply for next year. i'm going to j. sarg and will be done in 2 years...less time than bon secours. so think about that as an option. i have to work full time and go to school full time so thats why im not pursuing bon secours. alot of my friends have said that the program is very difficult and one of them didnt work at all. so you can imaging how difficult it would be working full time as well. good luck to everyone!! :nuke:

thanks for the info.goodluck and hope to hear more from u.god bless

I'm going to re-apply for the Spring 2010 enrollment of Bon Secours.

I'm going to study hardier & retake my TEAS test.

If I ask the school to hold my materials (references, SAT scores, transcripts, etc.) because I will be applying again, do you believe they will??

Anyone heard anything???

I know, I'm getting so anxious for you guys to hear back! hopefully very soon :)

I called this morning to get a status on my app, and the lady at the front desk said the girl who I would need to speak with is on vacation all week. :(

Geezzzz!!! I feel like the first round of people got their letters pretty fast!

I know!

I guess at that time, they were trickling in. We probably got our paperwork finalized towards the end when they were being submitted by the masses!

So the new student orientation packet came in the mail on friday, and it looks like there's a lot to get done before school starts, including that expensive health assessment. Still excited to start though :)

congrats kmt1014!

what all do you have to do? and how much time do they give you?

i'm still waiting on a letter! I think I'm almost at the 30 day mark, so I'll be taking my mailman stalking to a whole new level this week! LOL:D

Well there's scheduling classes with an advisor, signing up for non-nursing classes at JSR, getting the picture taken for the ID badge at Memorial Regional, having the student health assessment done, being fingerprinted at a police station and sending the info off somewhere, filling out the other background check forms and having them notarized, and reserving a spot at one of the orientations in August. For myself, I'll need to complete the health care providers BLS class since I haven't done that yet. There may be something i'm missing because i don't have the folder in front of me. It all seemed like a lot when looking at the packet the first time, but its nothing compared to what we'll be facing once its all done and we start classes, haha. I there are different timelines for specific things that you have to do, but EVERYTHING has to be done by August 21 or they drop you from classes. eek. I hope you hear great news very soon!
