I turned in my application today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg...I am so scared. I know its early in the game but anyone else applying for fall Bon Secours for 09? I have been doing non nursing classes for 3 semesters and finally I am ready to apply. I wanted to go into NS with only nursing classes! Now the waiting game!!!!! I cant belive I am at this point allready. It felt like forever! Now if NS goes by this fast (if I get in).
Congrats Barillasle!!
Let me ask you...when did you turn your app in? (and all the final paperwork..test results..etc) and when did you get your letter of acceptance?
also, did they call you beforehand and ask you if you wanted day or evening classes? i'm asking because I read in a previous thread from last year and people were saying they received a call asking about their preference, and then later got a letter of acceptance. Just wondering!
thanks and congrats again!!! you must be so excited!!
Hey guys. Thanks! Good luck to you both!!!!!! I turned in my application I believe end of May, toke the TEAS exam June 6..got my results within 48hours online and thank god I passed! well it wasnt that hard but still im glad i did pass!!! :-) WEll, there is a nurse pract. who knew that I wanted to get into bon secours really really really bad. So I dont know how she did it or who she talked to but she emailed me (I dont even know how she got my email) telling me to rest well this summer because I was accepted! I was very very excited ...then thinking...she wouldnt lie right!?!?! haha she better not. So i am still waiting a real acceptance letter which im expecting today or tomorrow. She said that they sent them friday or im thinking just yesterday since they meet on friday. Maybe I shouldnt celebrate but then again I trust this person because she is a professional NP! hopefully there isnt someone else with my name! ahhh i will scream. But i think its a very good sign that you got a phone call or email asking if you wanted day or night program. Because I know a lot of friends who didnt get in..and they recieved their letter about 2 weeks ago...soo we are in the right path! good luck! I hope and pray that you both get in so we can soon meet!!!!!!! SO im still waiting just like you but deep down inside im celebrating but just a little! I have hunting down my mailman!....lets cross our fingers!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to mention as well to those who have been working so hard to get into nursing school. I feel for you! I completely understand how difficult it has been to get into school. I graduated from VCU 2007 and I have been applying to different programs from accelerated Masters to P.A. school. I was trying to rush things because im 25 and im still in school!!!! There is no point to rush! I think the fact that im older now and have more experience will help me become a better nurse. So those who havent gotten in..hang in there...its painful getting those denial letters..i know..i have cried many times because of them. It really really hurts and you just feel like whats next? ive tried!! "hello god you there!?!??!!" Everything is for a reason. Go future Nurses!
I finally got my advisor, but can't seem to get in touch with her. I went to do financial aid yesterday, and it sucks we will have to pay for books and uniforms out of pocket and then later be reimbursed by financial aid (if you qualify for that). Grrrr. But anyway, all is well, and it seems like I will be starting this Fall granted I pass all of their health assesent stuff and fingerprinting, etc.
Helen
haha don't worry, I don't see why she would lie! She just must know the right people to go to in order to get that info! CONGRATS!
It's exciting to wait with good hopes, but also VERY NERVEWRECKING!!
I think for everyone who hasn't heard back yet, this is probably a good sign. How long could it possibly take to type up a letter of denial? We would have probably gotten them by now had we been denied. Therefore, I think they are working on all of our acceptance letters and putting the paperwork packages together..etc.
Don't worry, 2-3 mos by now, we'll probably be so overwhelmed, we'll be wishing we were still in the "stalk the mailman, check allnurses.com daily" waiting period.
I just got a message today from a lady who said they mailed the acceptance letters yesterday. I also received a message from a lady from financial aid wanting to set up an appointment for next week. Hopefully this is a good sign b/c why would they want me to set up financial aid if I wasn't accepted. I am so anxious and nervous. I can't wait to find out for sure if I was accepted.
I got an email today from the financial aid dept. They congratulated me on my acceptance into the program! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah:They sent me some information on financial aid and said to fill it out and fax it to her. I should be receiving a letter this week saying the same thing! Hooray!!
