BMCC Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi , Creating this thread for anyone applying for Spring 2021 at BMCC . I didn’t get in last round so will plan to sit the HESI in December hopefully . Not sure what my PCI is but I got A’s in everything except AP1 which I got a B in . Please share tips or info so we can help each other . I’m in my 40’s and I’ve young kids so this is definitely a career change for me !

Hi everyone. I just finished the exam.

Reading comp was the hardest part for me maybe because english is my second language. Basically they give you a short passage and ask a few questions about the same passage.

Anatomy and Physiology was very easy for me since it is my strongest subject.

Critical thinking was OK because a lot of the questions are common sense.

Math used to be the hardest subject for me in my whole life but I studied really hard and did well on the exam.

Reading: 76%

AandP:   92%

Crit Rea: 860

Math:      88%

Overal score: 85%

GPA: 3.96

GPA + HESI will give me 92.5% which I am hoping it will get me into the program. Good luck to everyone! We are almost there.

We have the same score to the exact digit..what are the odds?!

And now we wait... Hopefully not alot of people applied due to the nature it will be online. But I have a rough estimate.

The exam room has a capacity of 16. There are two sessions each day, she mentioned the exam was from nov 30- dec 6. 16*2 then multiply 6 days. There are 192 applicants 81 of us gets in.

Goodluck guys!

Hopefully man! What was your critical thinking score?

LOL!! Nice. But the 87.33 you got is from math, read, and A&P right?

My HESI stats:

Math 90

Reading 88

A&P 84

CT 790 (=79)

So when I factor in CT, it brings my HESI score to 85 and change. Still good.

The advisor told me the minimum passing for all 4 is 73, just like luka said.

Did you calculate HESI and pci together? Thats the main thing, the big picture.

When I did mine, its 92. I hope im not jumping the gun but 92 sounds high enough to get in ??? 20 more days

I gotta say I love how much simpler (IMO) HESI was compared to TEAS. When I read the elsevier study guide and saw how it didn't go too in depth on A&P, I thought this must be a joke.

I took the A&P section first. When I was done and saw my score, my eyes lit up. I did math second. When I saw that score I said to myself this really IS possible.

I just felt good overall after leaving the room.
