Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Yeah it took me a while to memorize/know what I was talking about for the 2 minutes without stumbling or having awkward pauses. And IDK if you’re a guy or a girl but I wanted to look presentable so it took some extra time to do my makeup and hair too?

Directions: Create a maximum 2 minute video responding to the essay prompt.
Essay Response (2000 character maximum) Think of an experience when you were a part of a diverse team, working on a project where the group struggled to come to an agreement. Specify your role on the team. How did diversity of thought, background, and experiences influence / impact / benefit / contribute to the team? What did you learn from this experience and how will it influence your future practice as a registered nurse?
Like @kalebiscuits said, it’s due in less than a week so I would work on it ASAP but it definitely took me some time to condense all my thoughts, come out with good points to talk about, and actually take the video.
Thank you! very helpful, gotta get started asap

Well 4 prereqs is the number required to apply! So you are definitely still eligible for consideration. I know applying to these programs is daunting (it sure is for me), but ya gotta keep your head up! ?

I agree, just shoot your shot and see what happens @aspiring NP

Yeah for sure! I would make your account and start filling out the info on NursingCAS ASAP, the resume part took me forever because you have to manually upload everything. Do you have any clinical experience? UB loves to see that.

Yes but I am still concerned because of my low GPA, also do you know if Brockport requires recommendation? Or just an essay? just making sure

Bing has even more reqs than UB so double check you're on track to have everything for them as well. Brockport's ABSN app only requires a personal statement. No LOR for any of the 3.
