Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Hey I sent in my application and all my transcripts from previous colleges I’ve attended/taken classes at this last week! I’m also applying to Buffalo, I’ll actually be graduating from UB in May!

Hey everyone! I submitted my SUNY application as well. Admissions said they won't be sending out our ID's until mid or late September, so it'll still be a while before we can start the actual application!

I was wondering how you guys sent in your transcripts? Do you know if they accept electronic transcripts through Creditional Solutions/Parchment?

Yes they do! That’s how I sent mine in to [email protected] and it took them just 24 hours to have it uploaded into my account.

Perfect, thank you for letting me know! When you mention your account, is it through the SUNY account that you were able to see that it was uploaded?

No, I’ve been in contact with Nursing and regular Undergraduate Admissions since May so they created an account for me in Binghamton’s Undergraduate Admissions with my name and birthday.

I haven't sent my transcripts in yet. I was just waiting for my Dev. Psych grade from this Summer to post!

I was told this too, but what exactly do we need the ID for? Just to check on our application status? I thought the actual BAT application was to be completed on Nursing CAS? I saw it on there and just started filling out all the basic demographic stuff but I'm still waiting until I get a little more clarity from admissions to really do anything further!

The ID is to check the status of your application and it’s where you have to submit your resume and any additional documents they might ask of you later. Your application isn’t finished until your resume is uploaded as well since it’s part of the admissions process. And I think they used it in the past but they don’t use NursingCAS now based on what the Admissions staff told me. They said to either apply through the SUNY application or the Commonapp.

@meg n Hmm.. okay thank you! I was so confused by that. I submitted the initial transfer app through applySUNY over the weekend but wasn't sure of the following steps. UB's secondary app is through NCAS and that's when I noticed Bing has a current NCAS application open for the program starting next Summer with a November 2020 deadline. So weird!

So basically at this point we just hang tight until admissions gives us our ID and further instruction?

Yes the only thing left to do is submitting your transcripts and resume which you can do after they give us our Binghamton status checker ID and password!

Apparently we should hear back from Binghamton about how to set up our status checker at the end of this month or the first week of October!
