Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

No, they haven’t even uploaded any applications from the SUNY app or whatever other service people applied through. They’ll upload everything and the end of this month. And then they won’t start reviewing applications until the rest of the required materials are all in!

I received mine too a few hours ago and submitted my Nursing resume and Prerequisite Form.

Hahah yeah I wanted to get things done ASAP! They have all my transcripts too so my application is officially complete!! How about you?

I’ve had my resume done back in June because I knew I wouldn’t be able to spend too much time doing it since I was taking Microbiology, Nutrition, and Developmental Psychology throughout the Summer and then I knew I’d be busy with the start of the semester! I’m a TA for Introductory Psychology this Fall too so it’s a lot more work with writing all the exam questions and helping students so I’m so glad I ended up finishing all my Nursing stuff before the craziness?

aww I see, well I just completed my third prerequisite just now!! I didn't even start completing till last month so now I gotta rush everything while working full time, it can be pretty tiring sometimes!!

OMG I can only imagine how exhausting that is! And here I am complaining with just school? I’m taking Human Physiology (I go to UB and they only offer it as Human Anatomy and Human Physiology instead of A&P1 and A&P2) and my English Comp II course this semester. And then I’ll just have Statistics left in the Spring and I’m done! How many more do you have in the Spring?

I have anatomy and physiology 2 which I hope I can finish this month online, and then developmental psy, chem 2, Bio 1, so 4 more ? but I am planning to take them all online so I can complete at my own pace.

Oh wow that’s def a huge workload! Are you trying to finish your nursing elective before the program? I did Nutrition so I’m done with my elective!

Yes I am trying to complete as soon as possible! I believe we gotta finish all prerequisites before the program starts so yeah

by the way, what other schools did you apply to? Do you know any other affordable schools other than sunys?
