Me neither. No updates or news yet at all. According to past years' threads, acceptances started going out ~Oct 24 last year and I think ~Nov 1 or so the year prior. I wonder if we'll be hearing soon as well! Anyone speak to the program director recently??

Welcome to the party! 😆 You should be getting an email from undergrad admissions giving you your user ID and a link for you to set up your status checker portal. I'm sure it'll be coming soon, but you could always reach out to admissions if you still have concerns. My email didn't come until nearly a month and a half after I submitted my transfer app, but that's because I did it super early and they didn't even start downloading apps until late September! On that status checker portal is where you upload all the additional documents and where you can see what transcripts they've received so far.

Sure! Here ya go: https://docs.Google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdFFMVEN2YXNCVxZTjYMDHOFEW2ZYmlkuu_e4S3nZOEhbHfWw/viewform And here's the page I accessed that form from for reference: https://www.binghamton.edu/decker/advising/transcript-evaluation.html

I've used the single course evaluation form for my prior university's version of Comp II (Professional Writing for Health Professions) and Stats (Biometrics) as I was a bio/pre-health student and they weren't the typical, standard courses and both were accepted thankfully! You just fill-in the form and submit a syllabus for the class. They got back to me in a day or two for each. Not sure how long it takes for a full transcript evaluation though, but Bing has been extremely responsive whenever I've reached out so it's probably best to find out what you still need before you apply so you'll know if you have time to retake anything you need to!

Oh dang. Thanks for the insight! That'll definitely be something to keep in mind if I'm lucky enough to actually choose between programs 😂 At least you already have one acceptance! Must feel like a total weight has been lifted! I'm really hoping for Bing. It seems like a solid program, is only 3 hours away and tuition (in-state) is substantially cheaper than every other program I've considered!

We still get the same clinical hours as the traditional students, but yeah they just come a lot faster it seems! I think the curriculum overall looks tough as it is accelerated but still palatable. When I saw the 27 credit Summer curriculum for UB I almost died haha

As far as clinicals go, I was told: "Students in our UG programs complete 3-6 week clinical rotations in med-surg, geriatrics, OB/Maternity, pediatrics, psych-mental health, and community health. Clinicals are assigned locally in Binghamton and Johnson City, in addition to other sites located within a 90 mile (approximate) radius (examples include but are not limited to Syracuse, Elmira and Sayre, PA). Most students end up traveling outside of Binghamton for one or two clinical rotations, which exposes them to different types of healthcare systems. In Binghamton, we have two major hospital systems: UHS and Lourdes. There are multiple facilities that we utilize in Binghamton, including long-term care facilities as well. The final clinical course (NURS 471) requires 2 days of clinical per week. Students may request specific sites for this experience if they wish, and the course coordinators take this into consideration along with recommendations from former clinical instructors to find a site for each student. The 471 clinical experience gives students an opportunity to work alongside the nursing staff with quite a bit of autonomy." For the final capstone preceptorship (NURS 471), she told me a while back that we can request clinical sites that are further upstate or even downstate and if I remember correctly I think she said that during that last semester, we only have to go back to campus like once a month! If I get accepted, I definitely want to confirm that because that sounds pretty awesome as I'm from NYC and coming back down here that last semester would be a nice option to have!

Okay! 🙂 It looks like the Summer term I is entirely online with Summer term II being online with a weekly in-person clinical. Not sure if that's just what they did this year due to COVID or if that's how it'll be for next year's cohort as well, but it's a good sample to reference! *Edited to also add the BAT curriculum plan to compare with! Oh, I know how you feel! The sooner the better! I also asked about clinicals and what the BAT schedule was like and she sent me a sample schedule! I should go ahead and post all that info since I feel it'll be so helpful for everyone who stumbles across this thread with those same questions!

I attended a virtual nursing fair on Wednesday and specifically asked if decisions would follow the same timeline as the past few years and the Director of Enrollment at Decker confirmed they'd start in early December with most decisions made in Dec and Jan! Seriously hoping and praying I'm in that first batch because the wait is pure torture!

After you submit the SUNY app, admissions will reach out by email giving you instructions for setting up the "status checker" portal. On there you submit your resume and prerequisite form. Also, you can see if they received your transcripts. Once everything has a green checkmark (and there are no red x's), your app is considered complete. If you've done all that, then you just have to wait for decisions to roll out! Most decisions will be made in December and January, I was told.

I emailed my admissions counselor last week as well and haven't received a response either. I think once your app is complete, then you just sit back and wait for December decisions to roll around! The hardest part!

I actually did this as well. I just didn't want to cause any confusion mentioning it since it technically isn't required! Did anyone receive their Banner ID yet, or any sort of status checker? The deadline is coming up and I just want reassurance from admissions that they have everything from me and that I'm all set! Now it's basically just time to play the waiting game!
