Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Yeah although UB only cares that you have 4 done at least, I know Bing really cares about how many pre-reqs you have done in order to make an admission decision. It says on their website that they give preference to those with most or all of their pre-reqs done and they have a lot more courses they want to see done @aspiring NP

I had made a thread for Brockport if you want to go there to post questions about that program. I feel like we're hijacking the Binghamton thread with other SUNYs ?

do you guys know if nursing schools, in general, ask for confirmation of employment or volunteer? The place I worked at never replies back to anything if it doesn't benefit them and the volunteer places I been to probably forgot who I am, and I am a bit nervous about it I don't want them to think I lied lmao

UB has a video essay and a written essay. The prompts are on NursingCAS.

Has anyone else officially completed their application? Like, Binghamton received all your transcripts, resume, and Pre-requisite form so you have all check marks in the status checker?

I did, but I might go back and recheck just incase. I still gotta finish UB and brockport tho

Has anyone been in contact with their Admissions counselor? I emailed mine last Thursday but still haven’t gotten a response. Does anyone know what the next step of the process is once our applications are complete?

I emailed my admissions counselor last week as well and haven't received a response either. I think once your app is complete, then you just sit back and wait for December decisions to roll around! The hardest part!

hey guys I just submitted my app. IDK if I'll get accepted or not due to my undergrad  GPA. best of luck to all of us!
