Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Published

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

through the SUNY app

I am confused, don't we just wait after submitting everything like transcipts and stuff? am I missing a step?

After you submit the SUNY app, admissions will reach out by email giving you instructions for setting up the "status checker" portal. On there you submit your resume and prerequisite form. Also, you can see if they received your transcripts. Once everything has a green checkmark (and there are no red x's), your app is considered complete. If you've done all that, then you just have to wait for decisions to roll out! Most decisions will be made in December and January, I was told.

Glad to hear some decisions will be out in December! When I talked to them they kept saying “most decisions will be released in January and February”. But I saw last year some people heard back in December, so I’m hoping they’ll do the same thing this year! January is so far away!!

I attended a virtual nursing fair on Wednesday and specifically asked if decisions would follow the same timeline as the past few years and the Director of Enrollment at Decker confirmed they'd start in early December with most decisions made in Dec and Jan!

Seriously hoping and praying I'm in that first batch because the wait is pure torture!

Of course I'd just be thrilled with an acceptance at all!

Oh, I know how you feel! The sooner the better!

I also asked about clinicals and what the BAT schedule was like and she sent me a sample schedule! I should go ahead and post all that info since I feel it'll be so helpful for everyone who stumbles across this thread with those same questions!

That would be amazing! I already got accepted into another ABSN program but I’m still very conflicted on what I would do if I got into Binghamton too. So, that would definitely help me give me some better clarity on which program to choose!
