Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Hey all! Has anyone heard anything? I emailed them but got no email back. I'm dying right now I just want to know!!

I called and emailed them and both times they told me most decisions will be released in January/February. I think that since they extended the deadline it’s taking longer which is understandable but nerve-wrecking!

Oh thanks so much okay good so I can stop stressing ?  and checking my email every hour ?? I cant believe people already got accepted!! That why I was stressing! Thanks again for the info.

I remember being told most would go out in December/January☹️ I wonder how many people were accepted on Nov 23? Only one person so far has chimed in on here that they were. Must have only been a small handful of the top applicants. 

Looks like I’ll be paying the deposit for Brockport on Monday. Doesn’t sound like I’ll be hearing back from Binghamton by then and I don’t want to risk not having anywhere to go!

This is what they said in their email to me:

Thank you for your email and continued interest in the Decker School of Nursing! Most admission decisions are made during January and February. Once a decision has been made, you will be able to view your decision letter within your Status Checker. If you have any additional application questions, do not hesitate to contact Undergraduate Admissions at [email protected] or 607-777-2171.

I had asked during a Zoom Q&A. I’ve been attending all their virtual events to temper the anticipation anxiety. (Not working ?) I think they’re copy/pasting generic responses to keep us off their backs. I’m sure they’re getting a ton of the same emails which must be annoying. Oh well, if this year taught me anything it’s that patience is definitely key ?

The wait is horrible? Is anyone else worried that they only look at GPA? This is what I am most worried about. Did anyone submit supplementals? Such as personal statement, letters of rec, etc

They cant be I have the same GPA as the person who got accepted. If they were going by that logic I should already been accepted! It seems weird that they got accepted before all the applications were in? I mean didn't they day dec 1st was the last possible deadline??

Yeah that is surprising that they would start accepting people before the actual deadline

The original deadline was in November but they extended to December 1st. I think they started looking at applicants who already completed by November.

I had my application complete (including all my transcripts being received) on September 24 and I still haven’t heard anything yet.

Yeah same her I had mine in so early!  Weird I guess we will see though. Plus it doesn't seem fair they would accept people before they even got to throughly review everyone's application...
