Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

If it’s still the same thing, around November or later a form gets filled out where you designate what specialities/hospitals/preference to stay local and they’ll try their best to match you with accordingly. I forgot how they went about it but I had some friends do their clinical down in nyc and others got approved to do clinical at a selected hospital after approval. In those cases where you go further out, there is a less restrictive cap on your weekly hours so you can get more done during that time because you are traveling further away. But yeah, those who did that had to come up because there were some days we had to be present for a certain lecture.
Thanks so much for the insight! That’s super helpful to know! Ugh I can’t wait for decisions to be released. Feels like time is moving so slowly which I’m sure is how you felt when you applied!

@lovspup Using the above, it looks like in-state tuition & fees should be ~$18k or so, and out-of-state ~$50k.
Additional costs associated with the nursing program can be found here: https://www.binghamton.edu/decker/undergrad/pdf/dson_projected_costs_traditional_and_accelerated.pdf
@AspiringRNfrmNYC The application has to be submitted by today but since they've been having technical difficulties with their servers and phones, they said that they will be extending the deadline for all supporting documents until Dec 1. Not sure if that extension will delay decisions! I was hoping the first wave of acceptances would go out in early December based on prior years' threads!

There’s an “upload file” section at the bottom. The same place where you have to upload your resume. It can used for more than one file. Honestly, I doubt they’ll even look at anything else besides the required documents (resume & transcripts). They used to require a personal statement and LORs years ago though if I’m not mistaken.
